So, now that the team is stacked enough, he may comes back?
Classic Phil jackson move.
Well, they sent D'antoni packing without an interview so it looks like Phil is back.

Probably would do a good job at it since running the triangle requires a non-monkeyballer

He doesn't run the triangle, he just is the focal point of it. It's a much more complicated system than the Del Negro iso system.

Absolutely, tbh...
:cry "I can't coach unless the team's stacked with All-Stars everywhere" :cry
The sad part is it makes Cully look somewhat right when he said Phil always comes begging back.

serious question? is CP3 considered a Monkey Baller? If not I think he should be due to the way he lobs passes...that alone qualifies him...I've seen those little monkey's at the Zoo as well...

Adrian Wojnarowski @WojYahooNBA (https://twitter.com/WojYahooNBA)
As Lakers meet w/ Phil Jackson today, they've declined meetings w/ any other candidates, source says. "They're all in on Phil," source says.
Looks like a done deal
Not going to happen.
Ric Bucher @RicBucher
"Jackson source says reports that job is his to take is Lakers' spin: no job has been offered but LAL now can say he turned them down."
The Lakers just trolled everyone on this. :lmao

Not a surprise if true, imho... Phil's heart probably isn't in it anyway, he's old, enjoying retirement, and couldn't wait to get the hell out of the league at the end of his last stint with the Lakers...

No offer was made by Jim, but that doesn't mean Jerry can't just step in and pull the trigger.

He can't "pull the trigger" if it's true that Phil turned them down, tbh...

Woj tweeting that the talks are continuing, talks are surrounding Phil's ability to follow the team on road games and oversee the practices. Phil must be feeling his age, but he still wants to coach it seems.

Nobody mentioned him turning it down, Bucher's tweet says that LAL can simply use no offer being made to say Phil turned it down so the crowd doesn't rage that Phil wasn't brought back.

Looks like, outside of Shaw, all of Phil's staff are ready to join if Phil is back to coaching LAL.

Phil Jackson fucking jumps on a stacked team yet again. We'll never know if this guy is actually anywhere near as good of a coach as those 11 rings he has imply.
I'm dropping him on my list under Pop and Riley if he comes back to yet another stacked team.
Stacked bitch coach is what I will now call him. I'm coining that phrase.
Phil lost interest in 2011 when the Mavs steamrolled his ass. He looked tired and totally absent. He retired for a reason. If he comes back he's the biggest fraud to ever coach a team since he 's only interested in coaching when he has far and away the most talent of any team in the conference.
Also, I doubt he wants to work for Baby Buss.

Truth
Mike is taking a nice hiatus and getting paid out the ass to stay away from Kobe. Sounds like a job for Vanessa tbh.
