Kings have been on a tear the last two games offensively, shooting 47.2 percent. Granted, those numbers came against Golden State and Detroit. Hopefully the hot streak doesn't carry over in tonight's game.

Expect a massive blowout. Spurs 120, Kings 90 - something along those lines.

Another thing to mention: Gary Neal will be going up against another quick and athletic back-up point guard in Aaron Brooks. Lets see how that matchup unfolds.

Should be interesting if Neal can't cut it. I hope Patty pulls his head out and starts harassing his man when he is in the game. He has the speed and is a pest. We definitely need some kind of solution for speedy PGs off the bench.

yep

dan mccarney ‏@danmccarneysaen (https://twitter.com/danmccarneysaen) Stomach virus plaguing Spurs -- Stephen Jackson out, Tony Parker and Matt Bonner ill but probable. Cory Joseph moved to active list.

Damn. Hopefully he's back tomorrow.

Leonard, Green and Ginobili will probably soak up his minutes tonight. This also gives a chance for Pop to move Neal to 2 and test out a new backup point guard (Mills or De Colo).

Damn. Didnt realize that. Neal's dee and ball handling both have improved since last year but I don't know. Think were better off just hoping for Neal to at least match and hopefully out perform Brooks offensively. Could get fun.

I'm not a Blair hater. I don't have a problem with Blair being in the starting lineup. What I have a problem with is Blair not getting most of his minutes with Manu on the floor. I haven't checked stats but it sure seems like he is so much more consistent when he plays with Manu. I know that is true for most guys on the team but the difference with Blair just seems to be the biggest.

timtonymanu
11-09-2012, 09:51 PM
Well if you want to keep Bonner out of the rotation, this is the way to go. I kind of don't like starting Blair again especially since he can't rebound anymore and he has tendencies to make dumb plays.

No way in hell I trade Splitter right now. Last season, for a stretch of games he was arguably the best backup bigman in the league. Trading him now would be trading him at his absolute lowest point. He has nowhere to go but up.

Disappointing, indeed. He looked very good last year and looked like he improved his game a lot. It's still early though.

Yeah, still early. Shouldn't really judge things until at least 20 games in. We can live in hope...

Can Patty be just part of the ensemble cast and not the star, like he was in the Olympics (tops in scoring), and still play with confidence? The full court drive was a flash, but in sets he just hasn't shown it yet. Granted, he's now 6 games in to being a part of the regular rotation on an NBA team, but while I'd give him more time to figure it out, I'll be curious to see how much patience GP has.

This is why Tim is so fun to watch. In an era when most people ignore the mid range, Tim thrives in it.

Granted, there are lots of players who shoot fadeaway jumpers from that range, but Tim has the best face-up midrange game around.

My money on the reason why the Spurs are struggling:

Pop didn't like how hot they were record-wise to begin the year. Spurs are a team that historically starts off slow and turns it on late. Pop feared the worst (media attention) and told them to tank this roadtrip. Most logical reason I can think of.

I see Kawhi as an important role playing piece on a contending team and nothing more. I've been pretty disappointed every time he's tried to assert himself as a playmaker.

His handles are actually quite mediocre for a player of his size. I never feel like he's in complete control when handling the ball (usually in the open court).
