Nice read on Timmy:

It really is as simple as 1-2-3. No other center the past three seasons has been able to post better Player Efficiency Ratings (22.3) (http://www.basketball-reference.com/play-index/psl_finder.cgi?request=1&match=combined&type=totals&per_minute_base=36&lg_id=NBA&is_playoffs=N&year_min=2011&year_max=2013&franch_id=&season_start=1&season_end=-1&age_min=0&age_max=99&height_min=0&height_max=99&birth_country_is=Y&birth_country=&is_active=Y&is_hof=&is_as=&as_comp=gt&as_val=0&pos_is_g=Y&pos_is_gf=Y&pos_is_f=Y&pos_is_fg=Y&pos_is_fc=Y&pos_is_c=Y&pos_is_cf=Y&qual=&c1stat=mp&c1comp=gt&c1val=3000&c2stat=&c2comp=gt&c2val=&c3stat=&c3comp=gt&c3val=&c4stat=&c4comp=gt&c4val=&c5stat=&c5comp=gt&c6mult=1.0&c6stat=&order_by=per) and Regularized Adjusted Plus Minus numbers (+4.60) (http://stats-for-the-nba.appspot.com/)as the 16th-year Spur (Dwight Howard has a 25.3 PER with a +3.25 RAPM, while Kevin Garnett has a 20.3 PER with a +6.05 RAPM; nobody else is even close).
These are similar to the numbers Duncan maintained in his 20s, back when he was collecting two regular-season MVPs and three Finals MVPs while leading San Antonio to four NBA championships.

Advanced stats pretty much show that the only changes for Duncan over the years are his minutes and his shot attempts.

His transformation from one of the greatest post players of all-time to one of the best P&R guys has been really amazing to watch.

dont like to use the word longetivity when describing players who play past their use-by-date, they can continue to play on...cause the league is filled with shit house players who lack fundamentals of the game or just to busy focusing on one skill set, when the game is played on both sides offensively/defensively....

look at the bigs duncan is playing against now, they are utter horse shit, u know its horse shit when a clown like rasheed is coming out of retirement can still contribute in areas needed,

What I don't get is all the talk in last years playoffs on how Garnett was killing it, and Duncan was past it and done... didn't Timmy play better than Garnett by a lot last year? Even this year in the player rankings crap, Garnett was a fair few places about Duncan?

tbh he should be second in the mvp and winning the dpoy.. of course it is very early in the season, but that's just how good he is playing..

if he keeps this up for the season...he could be serious contender for MVP and dpoy

Even for Manu this seems to be the case.

Recently, I looked at his Points Per 36 numbers and they've pretty much stayed at ~20 PP36 for his entire career. He just doesn't play as many minutes anymore.

Coincidence or plagiarism? My bro hastily wrote an article with the same title last season, and I got a pic about it in my sig and in this post. Notice the Benjamin Button movie cover photoshop. I know his site's basically dead but c'mon NBA sportswriters.

Huge pic warning:
