Our next 5 games will be composed of entirely of playoff teams from last season, including the new look Lakers at Staples, the league-leading (as of the time of this posting) New York Knicks, and the lone team to have beaten us thus far, the Clippers. This tough stretch should provide a good early measuring stick of where the team stands, especially considering we've been pegged in many power rankings as the number one team in the league (http://espn.go.com/nba/powerrankings/_/year/2013/week/2).

I predict we'll go 4 - 1, with our lone loss coming tomorrow against the Lakers.

This would be a good time for TP to get it going. Especially against the Lakers, he needs to get rhythm against Duhon/Blake. It's a shame Nash is out TP could've really used him to get his rhythm back lol

Spurs have a great record, but their defense has gotten worse each game seemingly and they have been pretty sloppy. My prediction is 3-2 over the next 5, with 2-3 a decent possibility.

That's not a hard stretch, three are at home. 3-2, perhaps, but maybe 4-1.

2-3. Prepare for the meltdown.

Manu will find his groove, TP is getting better, TD keeps going strong, the supporting cast doing their job, we'll go 4-1 at worst.

The game against the Lakers should be a for-sure win. They still can't gel together, they'll have a new coach, and apparently their starting AND bench PG will be out of the game (apparently Blake has an abdominal strain)

I say we win all those games.

spurs have been all over the place lately. i wouldn't be surprised with a 1-4 record, with the only win coming against denver.

Pessimistic, are we? Seriously, when is the last time the Spurs went 2-3 in a 5 game stretch? :p:

5-0 tbh, not that big a deal

We're playing some tough teams, but if we take the game tomorrow, I think we could potentially roll to a 4-1 over this 5 game span, with the Boston game being the highest chance of a loss.

Three of these games are @SA where our bench guys (including Manu) shoot the best. We also get a rest day between every game. No real "scheduled losses" here. We also got 2 days to rest/recover and prepare for the later start time with the Lakers.

Other than who we're facing, I like the scheduling here. It's not like getting shafted with an @Miami game at the ass end of a 4 games in 5 nights stretch like we're getting later. The flu status and how close Manu is to being Manu are the biggest hurdles to get over. But yeah, I don't see a 5-0 happening. We will be taking 1 or 2 losses. Hopefully that's it.

At worst, I would like to at least beat both LA teams and feed the Knicks a loss.

May 27th-June 4th, 2012. :lol

I'm still optimistic about the season overall....I just foresee a little bump in the road ahead, and I also foresee lots of heads exploding when we hit it.

Barring any unforeseen injuries or illnesses, I see a 5-0 run for the Spurs...

If we lose any games in this stretch it'll be to either the Celtics or the Clippers. Or both.

If we lose to the Clippers again expect a HUGE meltdown.

Well, I'm so glad I'm wrong about the Lakers part. I still think 4 - 1 is the most probable outcome, though -- the unbeaten New York Knicks are up next.

Meh, Boston and Denver are playing below expectations, Knicks have been playing way over their heads and are due for a letdown, the Clips are the toughest out of this bunch right now. Plus I called the win over LA.

need to beat the knicks and clippers, not concern with the other 2 pretenders

That is awesome logic. Boston and Denver have been playing bad, so the Spurs will win. Knicks have been playing really well, so the Spurs will win.
