No surpise.

Hmm why Joseph over De Colo though?

I just hope he plays only the point for the Toros. I hate to see him playing the 2 over there.

This is not conducive to Pop's master plan of turning all 1s into 2s and 2s into 1s.

Hmm why Joseph over De Colo though? They could send both, but I imagine De Colo might be seen as too experienced to be sent down. Also could just be kept around since Manu is gimpy.

I'm still bitter that we drafted this guy, in the 1st round none-the-less. As a longhorns fan I watched him play a lot on college and he was horrible offensively. Hopefully we improves a lot but I doubt it.

Because De Colo > Joseph.

I'm excited to see what Joseph can do in the D-League this season. If he's allowed to play point guard, I'm expecting big things based on how well he played in summer league and most of his stints during preseason.

He's really going to need to step up and make an impression if he wants time with the varsity this year.

If Joseph development goes well, he will be a dominant D-League player this year and be Spurs backup PG next year. Spurs picking his 2013-2014 option at the end of the training camp was a sign they are somewhat optimistic it could follow that path.

Well, either CoJo or De Colo had to be moved down. Considering the fact that we are paying De Colo more AND dragged him across the Atlantic, I think that made it a pretty easy decision. Neither has much of a role at all, but at least De Colo can play minutes at the 2 as well, whereas Joseph is strictly a point guard. Plus with Manu being less than 100% than opens the door for possible minutes at SG. Point guard minutes are already dominated by Parker, Neal, and Mills

I want to see Joseph work on his offensive game (mainly driving and kick-outs) and for him to increase is defensive awareness. He really isn't that far from being the Spurs back-up point guard. If he has a d-league season like his summer league performance, he may get that spot by the end of this year.

Joseph was looking good in preseason. Another year under his belt with a good attitude and hell be able to help us next year.
