Mines: 2005 West Semis vs Spurs

The point is to point out the worst loss. A loss to the Jordan Bulls isn't nearly as bad as to the Lakers.

07 warriors cause we would've had an easy trip to the finals. That warriors team was the one team that could be the mavs

None. I never felt like we should have won more than we did. I like the freedom of supporting a winning franchise without being seen as a bandwagon fan like damn near every Lakers fan you encounter. I'd like to see the NBA become more balanced so other teams actually improve and make the Finals.

Nah fuck them.

1989 1st round vs. Chicago

2009 ECF vs. Orlando

Last year. We should have lifted and won G7, thunder nuggets rivalry would have made for a good series

2006 Mavs

Spurs sweep the Suns and Heat, fwiw. The Spurs were still built to deal with Shaq and had the ultimate perimeter defender who didn't foul in Bowen, so the Heat wouldn't have been no thang. Take the 2006 Heat, remove Wade's free throws and neutralize Shaq and it would have been gg nba.

Ah well.

I really can't take any answer from Spurs fans other than 2004 seriously.

^ 2004 doesn't bother Spursfans nearly as much as trolls seem to think it does. I stopped giving a shit about it the next year. We've won 2 titles since then. 2004 is pretty irrelevant at this point imo.

2006 game 7 vs Mavs is probably my #1, though I would like a redo on any of our playoff losses last year just so we could play game 7.

2006, easily, timvp already stated the reasons..

2004 hurt, but the Pistons would have been a difficult matchup, far from a given..

I'm not at all convinced the spurs beat the 2004 pistons. Would have been a battle like '05, but that team was clicking on all cylinders.

2005 ECF vs the Pistons. Wade's injury is why Miami didn't finish that series.

2006 WCSF, since the 04 Pistons probably beat the 04 Spurs in a 7 game series. No way the 06 Heat get more than 2 games from the 06 Spurs though.

Oh, and the 09 WCF. We would have curb stomped the magic.

1979 vs the Bullets, maybe the best chance that Gervin had at a title.
Maybe 1983 after that.

1984 vs Celts. We win that Finals not only does that erase the mist painful loss from my childhood, Lakers would have 17 banners to Celts 16 ...
That Worthy pass still haunts me. The McHale clothesline still infuriates me.

The one series that to this day I am still not over because of how much it is shown is the 1987 ECF and that mother fucking "steal by bird". Fuck!

You'all didn't stand a chance versus the Celtics in 2008. The Mavs/Spurs would've pounded that Laker a$$ in 2006. 1969 will probably haunt the Lakers forever. The celtics were the better team in 1984 though.

79 they would have had a great shot to beat Seattle
83 no way they were getting through Philly and maybe the best starting 5 in league history

Come on man, 85 was pretty nasty revenge for that; especially after the way LA dropped that first game.

Pistons were the surprisingly far better team and the Celtics, even with that terrible actress Pierce, were the far better team.

For me, Kings vs. Lakers in 2002 WCF. That's how much that series kills me as a basketball fan that I hold it over any of the Spurs playoff losses because that was a Kings team that really should've won that series. The free throw shooting got them though and that stupid Vlade Divac slap of the ball to Horry.

One series that's not the Lakers: 2007 Mavs vs Warriors. I would've loved seeing a Mavs vs. Suns/Spurs series.
