lol spurfan, they truly want to see Kobe retire but old bean refuses to fade away into obscurity and he just keeps putting up stellar numbers at 34 years of age and after 17 seasons in the nba.

Spurfan will eutanise Duncan and watch many more glorious Lakers basketball before Kobe finally decides to call it quits.

tbh, not really true... it will be a while until Lebron embarrasses himself getting kicked out in the 2nd round back to back, quitting on his team or not even making the playoffs...

until then, Kirby gotta keep on bringing the lols...

Kobe will always get fellated by Kobe fans. And Kobe will always get criticized by Kobe haters. Regardless of what he does, what he says, or how he plays. That's just the way of the world.

Kobe critics will always find a way to discredit him no matter what. If Kobe plays well and the Lakers lose, it's that the Lakers can't win with Kobe being the go-to guy or he's a stat padder. If Kobe doesn't play well and the Lakers win, it's because the Lakers are better when Kobe isn't the go-to guy. If Kobe plays well and the Lakers win, it's because it's a meaningless regular season game or because the competition was bad. There will always be a way to twist things so Kobe can't get any kind of props. It works both ways. No matter how much Kobe sucks, Kobe fans will defend him or find a way to be a Kobe apologist. The way of the world. And the world keeps turning.

Kobe's played well so far this season, individually. Eventually, his shooting efficiency will come down when he gets a few of those 6-for-24 or 8-for-30 games under his belt. But to criticize his play right now is probably mostly about just hating him for the sake of hating him. He's not the reason the Lakers have struggled out of the gate, at the very least not one of the main reasons. But the standard is set. Regardless of how he plays, nothing will matter unless the Lakers win the title at the end of the year. And if they don't, Kobe will catch plenty of heat, deserved or not. But that's the standard.

You gotdam muthafucking right...he will retire # 2 all time...I swiped this shit from LG but it's ok since most of them be stealing my shit all the time...:lol

Some other interesting Kobe stats:

130th in Rebounds (6199) - Before it's all said and done he'll be top 50 in rebounds all time.

41st all-time in assists (5472) He'll be at 20th all time my the end of the season He's 161 shy of catching Jordan, who is 36th.

15th all time in steals (1737), will soon catch Isiah Thomas.

Let's talk about points now...he's 5th All-time in points (29,748) the holy grail of basketball...Kobe will be passing up Dr. J shortly and hopefully Wilt Chamberlain by the end of the season....or next...MJ will fall next season....He'll have over 30,000 by Dec and will need only 1400 more to send Wilt packing...MJ will be in the scope next...MJ is currently 3rd but Kobe is coming for his ass (NO HOMO) ;-)

if Kobe can get to 7000 rbs at least make the 7,000 club I'd be happy...fact is he's 130th ALL-TIME in rbs which is AMAZING for a guard...absolutely UNREAL for a guard....I'm hoping he can crack the top 100 all time....amazing...:lol

Look at his assist numbers...for someone who's been branded as selfish he's already top 40 in assists and about to pass Dennis Johnson, Mike Bibby, Allen Iverson and Michael Jordan.... TOP FREAKING 40 ALL-TIME in assists is just SICK :lol

Kobe is 15th ALL-TIME in steals this means that he was a pretty GOOD defensive player...especially since he played man to man defense and didn't really ever play the passing lanes. But Seriously 15th ALL-TIME in steals.. WOW!!!

Kobe is 178th ALL-TIME in blocks....GOTDAM...178th that's more blocks than Serge IBAKA!!! for a guard...UNBELIEVABLE

Kobe will go down 2nd in history behind Kareem with most points scored...he will edge out Karl Malone and will 37,000 total career points before he hangs it up

Kobe is not a great rebounder and comparing the number of blocks for a guy in 17th season to that of a guy in his 4th. Kobe is a scorer and not much more. Two years after he retires he will not even be mentioned anymore and only be known as the guy who rode coattails. Durant at the end of the day will be better than Kobe. He came into the lead scoring and is averaging 10 rebounds per game.

Pretty much, not to mention quitting in his prime... the sad part is that he's really trying now, but he's become second fiddle to the likes of Durant and Lebron... in other words, it's no longer up to him.

34 year old Kobe putting up MVP type numbers with Durant and Lebron in their primes and that's a fact. Elnono: "Kobe can't defer." Kobe making you eat and love that crow :lol

I told you Kobe would defer with the Lakers level of talent going up this season. Once the team needed his PG services, he delivered.

Besides, Duncan has become 2nd fiddle not to opponent players but to a teammate. Since the 07 ship that Jim is Parker's sidekick tbh :lol

^ Let's also not forget that a prime KG was actually a better player than a prime Duncan...look at their all time production in numbers...only problem is KG didn't have the title teams (support) to hold him up like Duncan did...

All-time:

Rebounds - KG 12th Duncan 18th
Assists - KG 52nd Duncan 143th
Blocks - Duncan 10th - KG 22nd
Points – KG 22nd – Duncan 31st
Steals – KG 20th – Duncan 225th

LOL. Yet it's pretty much the opinion of everyone, not just Spurs fans, that TD is the best PF in NBA history. Stats or no stats.
At the same time, it's the opinion of pretty much everyone (except Kobe fanbois) as well that MJ > Kobe, no matter the stats.

Strange how that works, right?

Anyway, in topic, Kobe playing pretty well. Dwight is going to bring them down, though.
