And so far, he has been pretty good. With Dirk back life should be get easier for him!

Lefty you don't have to jinx Mayo, he pretty much does it to himself. After some good games, he builds a few brick houses.

With Dirk back Mayo's production will drop.

His scoring production most assuredly will, but as long as he continues to shoot efficiently, I'm sure the Mavs won't mind.

Mayo has always had really good talent, especially scoring. I think he lost his way the last few years, especially when he started coming off the bench. I think more playing time and more touches offensively can be a great motivator for some players. Seems like having more responsibility, knowing he'll get minutes and touches could be really good for his career.

funny how everybody is forgetting his hot stretches with the grizz. Mayo is not consistent, his shooting mechanism can be derailed easily and it takes weeks, months sometime to fix it. Maybe I'm wrong on this one but I think he will have 3 or 4 bad games because it happens and won't recover, he is gonna loose his confidence, eventually be benched a bit and here we go for a couple of weeks / months at sucking.

I'm not a hater I actually like his game and hope that with the experience he will fix that issue but I doubt it

I don't see Mayo's production dropping too much when Dirk is back (except for the aforementioned extended slumps he tends to go through, although being in a contract year and with Rick's coaching, he might focus more and slump less).

When Dirk returns hopefully that mean the last of Troy Murphy getting meaningful minutes, along with less iso's for Kaman. Mayo may get a few less shots but i don't see his production being affected as much as those guys and probably Carter's touches.

dude will take less shots with dirk back but he'll make up for it by being more efficient, since he's gonna get considerable open looks when the opposing team has to use 2-3 men to deal with the german allah in defense. dirk's return will instantly make life easier for his teammates imho

kaman is shooting like 57% from the floor this year surprisingly, maybe he needs to keep shooting on 2nd thought mono imho

tbh the "hopefully" was just about murphy. Kaman's been great, but when Dirk gets back he'll be occupying the high post which will mean less touches for Kaman down low.

although Dirk drawing a double will mean more opportunities to pass it to Kaman for an open layup, passes that Damp and Haywood were dropping for years.

Ovinton J'Anthony Mayo has been dealing with flu-like symptoms for the past week. Ovinton will undoubtedly have a bounce back performance tomorrow night. The Dallas Mavericks franchise will not tolerate anything less than greatness from our players to our coaching staff.
