What's good is subjective, obviously. What it says is that rock is dead, and has been for quite a while. These pop artists and country music has completely taken over. I haven't heard a decent new rock band come out in a long time. Radio stations like 99.5 are starting to sound like classic rock stations.

There's been really popular shitty music for decades. btw bieber already won this award in 2010, and other turds like NSYNC, Madonna, Garth Brooks, Carrie Underwood, sucky post 80's U2, etc have won Artist Of The Year so it's not like the award came with any credibility or prestige.
