DH isn't even part of the offense now. Is this what he envisioned when he said he wants to be the face of the franchise?

How long before shit starts flying?

Should be the other way around. Dwight is a monkeyballer whose lack of fundamentals I'm sure sears Kobe's retinas.

Will never happen, since he can make way more money watching Kobe take all his shots. Now what would be funny is if D'Antoni is fired in 15 games and they have to go crawling back to Phil.

LeBron could have gotten more money in Cleveland. In other words it's no guarantee Dwight stays.

Difference is that Cleveland is a shit hole and no amount of money would change that.

Dwight hates losing, but I think he loves LA more. He's more of an attention chaser than a ring chaser, being next to Hollywood and all will keep him happy.

Kobe already thinks Dwight doesn't take the game serious enough. Will he put up with that for long?

It'll be fine, tbh. Never seen chemistry as an issue because Dwight isn't an alpha male like Shaq was.

tbh, I don't think anybody ever liked Kobe on the Lakers that much besides Pau and D Fish. They have always just dealt with it because Kobe has always asserted himself. Dwight will cause issues if he asserts himself and we have clashing egos, but it would have to get really bad in the locker room for Dwight to consider leaving LA.

agreed that Dwight would never leave LA cuz of the personality traits you mentioned. Just sayin that him and Kobe are a chemistry issue waiting to happen regardless if Dwight isnt an alpha male mostly because Kobe is just an a-hole.

Not even putting it on Kobe cuz Mid is right. Dwight is a glorified DeAndre Jordan if hes not surrounded by shooters/playmakers spoon feeding him dunks. At least baby drew could step out and hit the 10-15ft jumper.

At this rate, you would probably be right. Although having the team underperform so badly is bound to cause Kobe to take a shit in a fan or two. Howard is fairly good at getting his own points, he's better off with a good PG like any other big of course. He's more than a shotblocker and dunker like Jordan, though.

I knew it would happen, but the only reason it has taken 13 games for the first blast from Howard is that Bryant has been shooting over 50% for the first time in his career. Tonight he was 7-23, the type of game he had plenty of last year. So if he's 7-23, but Pau and Howard don't get the ball, it's going to be a problem. And it should be.

The Lakers have always known that Bryant doesn't play inside out. He plays I Eat First, and he's completely inflexible. Well, with Pau and Howard, that just makes no sense. Any idiot could tell you that with two dominating big men on your team, feed the POST, and play inside out. It's not rocket science. But Bryant is the most selfish player in the history of the league, and is so arrogant that he'll never change.

So I wouldn't be surprised to see Howard walk. Or more likely, he orchestrates a sign-and-trade for Blake Griffin and a few picks, and goes to the Clippers. That way he stays in LA without forfeiting any money. If he stays with the Lakers, he'll have to deal with an even more aging Brant jacking up shots and dominating the ball. With the Clips, he's got Chris Paul feeding him lobs all day. Chris Paul made Tyson Chandler an all-star caliber center, for crying out loud. Has naybody given Chandler a second thought before he played with Chris Paul?

I knew when Bryant signed that last extension that it would kill the Lakers. This year he's making 27+M, and next year he makes 30M. In other words, he's eating up a massive chunk of their payroll, and preventing the FO from adding more talent. You think Howard's happy about that?

After the game the camera was on Dwight and Gay shaking hands and they were watching Kobe walk off the court. Dwight put his hand over his mouth, like a pitcher with his glove, and was saying something to Gay. Gay's reactions was like WTF?.

What did i Tell yall about Dwight (mr face up, i dont have back 2 the basket moves) Howard.

I warned you. i told you i was afraid if teams figure him out or if he runs into a quicker/strong defender that realizes 80% of his game is a faceup game.

Dwight howard right now is a glorified Jordan hill. great energy guy, great athlete, great hustle on the glass and shot blocks. good with one on one coverage vs teams that dont realize he faces up 80% of the time.

Dwight is a mental midget.

What is wrong with Howard?

Is he tanking again and mad that they hired MD instead of Phil? If so, I don't think this management will tolerate that BS. You don't want to play for Lakers, we don't want you here!

I am not a big DH fan, I think he lacks the total commitment to be an all time great.

Kobe is going to chuck. His results are beside the point. It's like saying spending 500 a week on lottery tickets was a good idea because you broke even a couple of times, but you keep spending regardless. Kobe's number one concern is that it's his team. He wants the glory from breaking records, from consolation prizes like scoring champ and ASG MVP stuff. I am not sure he even understands the concept that 5 starters in double figures beats the shit out of one starter with 36 points and no one else in double figures. Even years of teammate neglect hasn't taught him that. He's been ruined by greats that carried him to championships, and somehow he believes the hype and his delusion that he's the championship piece the Lakers need.

Anyone who's nearly as good as Kobe thinks he is would be a contender every year even with scrubs. Lebron did well with shitty players and a shitty coach. Imagine if Lebron had Howard, Pau Gasol, Steve Nash, Jamison and Artest. We'd be sick of seeing him win rings by now.
