The Giants' best is better than anybody else's best, so I give them the nod for best team in the league. They beat the Packers and 49ers by a combined score of 64-13--and in both games the MOV could've been much bigger. The 3 most important things to have in today's NFL are:

1. An elite QB
2. A pass rush--most notably with just your front 4
3. At least 2 elite WR/TE threats.

Giants have all 3, and as long as they make the playoffs I wouldn't bet against them.

Why are the patriots ahead of the Texans in your AFC rankings but then the Texans are #4 in the NFL ahead of the Patriots?

That's exactly why I like the broncos more...they have all 3 of those with a better qb IMO.

The Giants' D-line is capable of dominating games, as they have proven both this year and during their 2 sb runs. The Giants have also tooled on their 2 main NFC rivals while the Broncos have struggled against similar competition. Yes, that was earlier in the year--but my point is that NYG's ceiling is much higher than any other team.

:lol People don't look at that. They just look at their record, and think they need homefield to win in the playoffs. That being said, I refuse to overlook a team with Peyton Manning on it.

I haven't seen enough Broncos games to say whether they should be #1 or not. I think Packers and Pats are 3A and 3B. The Giants should be 1 and 20 (1 when it matters, 20 when it doesn't.)

:lolExactly. If the Giants were playing the Jaguars this week they would probably lose--but on the flip side if they were playing Houston they'd most likely dominate them. It's just how the G-men roll.
