I am well aware that we carry like 9 backup point guards and no true small forwards at the moment, but I have to say I am somewhat interested in picking up Fisher. Yes I hate him for all he has done to ruin the Spurs in previous seasons, but I didn't like Horry much either until he helped us win. As annoying as it was to have Fisher help knock us out of the playoffs a couple times, he is still by all means a class guy. He seems like he could fit in the locker room easily with our guys. And truthfully I am just not happy with our back up point guard situation. Neal has done fine so far, but he is more suited to play the two where he can just be a scorer and not worry about being pressured on the dribble. Nando could turn into a decent player but he doesn't show much hope of developing into a contributor this season. Same goes for CoJo. And Mills just seems to have fallen off. I know he is on a cold streak and his shot will come back but even then he is a volume shooter on a team that is not going to allow him to continually hoist up shots. Fisher is experienced and can spot up from 3. The biggest question would be his defense but hey we tolerate Neal, Nando, and Mills so I don't think we would really notice a difference. I know our biggest weakness is the bigs, and I know right now we should be worried about the lack of small forwards. But this is an potential upgrade that can legitimately happen, and you have to make improvements when and where you can. I know this is most improbable, but we did want him last season when he was cut. What do you guys think?

Yeah. Reading is hard when you have to keep going for like 10 sentences in a row without stopping.

Sorry.

He went to the only team that I hate more than the Lakers. Ironic.

I'd question any spurs fan that wants Derek fisher on the team. But that's just me. To top it off, they need size..can he play center?

He has the quickness to play center.

Ha. Not sure on quickness but he's built..I remember him banging with Timmy in past matchups. I've watched about every game he had vs the spurs and I can definitely say, I'm glad he'll never be a spur. There are a lot of nba players I'd like on the team, he's not one of them.

It's probably worth signing him just to avoid running into him in the playoffs. He knocked down big shots against in the WCF.

Another good point and one I forgot to mention in my 27 line block of rambling. But I guess it is no use talking about it now...

Perfect fit for the Mavs, they'll overpay him and then kick him to the curb the following year.
