:lol That first tweet.

"U don't rest guys 15 games into the season and you certainly don't rest ur entire starting 5. You think Tom Brady would rest after 3 games"

Because Tom Brady is very used to playing 4 games in 5 nights.

It's a well known fact that Greg Anthony has always hated the Spurs tbh.

I rarely say this about a person, but Greg Anthony is sooo stupid.

NFL has only 16 games, of course no one can afford to rest a star at the beginning/middle of a reason. But when Colts were 14-0, they rest Manning. Or if you want to compare NFL with NBA (82 games), it's more like when Patriots rests Brady for the 4th quarter when they are up 35-7. Would NFL fans complain that their gratification of watching Brady's beauty pass in the 4th quarter is stripped?

Edit: Don't you think NFL fans (no matter you are a colts fan or not) losing much much more of witnessing a perfect season than NBA fans watching a good November Heat-Spurs game?

Kurt Rambis has a beef with it too. He said something along the lines of, "Nobody took games off in the '80s, and they played nearly 48 minutes a game."

Guess he is not a fan of the greatest Usain Bolt who oftentimes slows down during qualifying rounds.

Of course Anthony sides with Stern, he's trying to discipline the Spurs.

Anthony REALLY has never gotten over the '99 sweep!

Just read that. Kinda funny tbh. They're under the impression Stern's gearing up to suspend/fine all the players who rested, as well as Popovich. :lmao

Stern fined the Lakers $25,000 in April of 1990 after coach Pat Riley rested Magic Johnson and James Worthy in a regular season finale against Portland. In 1985, then-vice president for NBA operations Rod Thorn fined the Lakers after Riley sat Johnson and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in a regular season finale.

The only two instances of coaches getting fined for resting players was 22 and 27 years ago. There's been several dozen instances of it not being fined and let go, and only 2 of it being fined.

If Stern does anything more than slap a light fine on him, it's going to look like a hidden agenda imo.

From now on Pop should instantly call a timeout as soon as the game starts and proceed to rest his players for the rest of the game. Stern has no power to tell teams how many mins they must play their players, that'll be an even bigger F you to Stern.

If David Stern really gave a shit, he'd offer refunds to the fans.

Back when the average talent level was so low that his ass had a career in the league.

This is a variant of the "in my day we walked ten miles to school, uphill, in a blizzard" and is about as valid.

Back then every game was physical as hell, regardless of talent & what do you gotta say bout the 90's? :lol

someone should tell Rambis most motherfuckers don't retire after 30 due to body shutting down anymore either

that argument is fucking laughable. Just like the old geezers always say "in my day we'd be working 12 hours a day shifts and go home and do chores." yeah motherfucker, in your days motherfuckers also were lucky to hit 60
