Seems like Bob Ley had a really good tweet about this last night. Should be interesting. I hate that the only time we get to see the Spurs mentioned on ESPN is when one of them gets injured, someone's complaining about fouls or when someone's about to be punished. This is more airtime than the Spurs got for winning titles.

So far most of the participants in this debate have been in favor of pop pov. Except Bob Ryan he had to take Stern's pov saying that it was too early to rest players at this point of the season.

Some sports business social media analyst for espn says that 85% of people polled agree with Pop. :)

Then Bob Ryan needs to stop perpetuating the myth that the Spurs are old.

The "B Team Spurs" combined make $18 million. Lebron makes that all by himself. Spurs almost win is confusing the hell out of them.

it's not about agreeing. Most spursfans disagree with most of Pop's moves.

It's about him being the head of the team and can do whatever the fuck he wants until he gets fired.

I wouldn't say "most disagree with most of Pop's moves". Maybe dumb fans that don't understand the game very well, or for no reason have no trust in a guy who's brought the team 4 titles and a winning season every year since tanking to get Duncan.

Pop's obviously not always right, but it's a joke if anybody disagrees with "most of his moves". What coach would you prefer to have if Pop is that awful to you?

I know a lot of people on here bitch about him. This forum is filled to the brim and spilling over with trolls and terrible posters. I don't think it's a good sampling of the entire Spurs' fanbase.

Most of the Spurs fans I've encountered elsewhere on the internet have been much different. Much more like the better posters here, rather than the deluge of bad ones for every fanbase that posts here.

A Spurs controversy is as rare as Lindsay Lohan in an Oscar nominated movie.

There's probably one person who disagrees with "most" of Pop's moves, and he's been a retard since his initial post. It's more than exaggeration to suggest otherwise.

Dang this turned into a big deal. Is stern getting exposed or what??

If anything, Spurs just showed they certainly have a surprisingly deep team for the second year in a row or the Heat aren't that good this early in the year. Surprised we didn't get fined for having the same players from last year too.

Stern: "It's unfair to the league for a team to keep the same players that helped them to an extended run in the playoffs"

I think it is a little bit of both. Our bench has regressed a bit this season, but they are still playing very well. As Manu improves, the bench tends to improve.

exactly why I think Stern just reinforced and confirmed, he and the league has always had a biased against the Spurs. Everything we always thought Stern was doing to us to promote other teams and get bigger TV contracts(by keeping us out of the finals during negotiations)has been validated by this fine.

I love how the Spurs are a small market team, often cited as the most boring team to watch, called too old, etc. And now theirs uproar that the game was less exciting because our stars aren't playing? I thought our stars were boring? sigh...
