I am not going to post the photo. It is two spurs players on Halloween with a friend dressed up like a fan favorite ref. Is it old? Has the league seen it? Sorry for the cryptic message but I am not going to spread the damn photo if it hasn't already made the rounds

That photo could actually be construed as a threat to NBA officials or an attempt to intimidate, which could carry harsh penalties for the players involved, and not just from a financial standpoint.

My point is, why spread it around recklessly? The photo's a bad reflection on the team, and furthermore could hurt the team if the league feels it's a malicious, directed attack on an official.

I mean, each of those guys was pretty much exclusively advocating nonviolent protest.
This picture is exactly the opposite.

Tim and Tony are smart guys. They should know better than to bait the league into penalizing them like this.

What if Tim and Tony claim that the bald guy in the picture is not trying to represent Joey Crawford but another ref whose last name is Crawford and who coincidentally spots number 17 in the back?

this is why TDMVPDPOY is a top 10 poster, his uninhibited retardness never fails to deliver.

the pic cracks me up everytime, but it's already out there. hopefully it doesn't get up to Stern because if there is one thing he protects more than superstars, it's his refs. What pisses me off is whoever leaked it, posted right now when people were watching, even though it was a spontaneous moment at a party.

Honestly, it doesn't look photoshopped to me. The EXIF data doesn't reveal any traces of it as far as I can tell, and the 17 definitely looks native to the shirt based on lighting conditions, etc. Joey wears number 17. And why would they be shooting a random, bald ref who isn't Joey Crawford?

The number looks pretty blurry to me. The only other reasonable explanation is that it's one of those shitty iron-on logos that you sometimes see marketed for making tshirts at home. I don't see what's so scandalous about someone showing up to a Halloween party at an NBA player's house dressed as a ref and then the players joke like they want to shoot him.

Massive over-reaction by STers - it's clearly a jokey photo and if the NBA does anything about it they've totally lost the plot.

Then again, they did just fine Pop for managing his roster how he sees fit (not against any rule I can see), so maybe they will... :lmao

this was mentioned above, but i'm starting to think someone photoshopped it. I think I do remember there was a pic or a mention of a replacement ref at the party, which would make sense because everyone was bitching about them during that time. If it was photoshopped (which I could be wrong), it would be real interesting who did it and released right as Popgate was going on.
