Take that to the bank :toast
Dwight Howard will play the Orlando Magic on Sunday for the first time since being traded.
"I've had a chance to sit back and think about it and there are some things I could've done better. There are some things that could've been done better on both sides," Howard said on Saturday. "But at the end of the day, we all learn some lessons and we've got to move forward.
"I'm happy here, I'm having a lot of fun. This is a place that I've always prayed that I could be a part of something very special. So I want to take advantage of it."
Howard insists he doesn't hold any negative feelings to the city of Orlando or the owners of the Magic.
"Orlando will always be my home. That's where I grew up, really. The fans were great to me for eight years. I have some unbelievable memories," he said. "But like I told you guys when I got here, this is a new chapter in my life. This is my home now. And I'm looking forward to making a lot of great memories here."
Howard's long-term future with the Lakers remains uncertain.
"From one to 10? I'd give it a good 12. I love it. It's been a lot of fun," Howard said. "Just everything here, from the practices, the motivation of everybody here is championship, that's what we need.
"I like the direction we're headed. We've had some tough losses but we'll learn and we'll grow from it. We're going to stick together."

I like this part; it's like saying Kobe doesn't hold any negative feelings towards Katelyn.

Anybody who doubts Howard staying or wanted to be a Laker all along is simply just trying to stir the Laker hate pot, tbh.

He originally wanted Brooklyn but obviously is happy as a Laker. It's not hating just a fact.

He Said that, but how much of what he said turned out to be BS? Dwight gets pressured by the media, anybody with common sense can tell he wanted to be in the city of angles where he can be next to hollywood.

Don't need an article to verify what I said, just need common sense. Everybody knows Dwight loves attention and being in the limelight, Hollywood is the #1 place to be if that's what you want. Shaq was the same, tbh. You can draw a lot of off-court parelles to Shaq and Dwight. Also, you can't really say the same about this article because the media isn't hyping up him leaving Orlando anymore and he's likely more relaxed. Before he wanted save face and say "Well shit, I wanted Nets but they sent me to Lakers. You think I'm happy?"'. Now he isn't in the hot seat so he's likely not going to lie as much

Well the trade demands originated with him going to Brooklyn. How can you even think LA was his first choice other than through the homer glasses.

Because LAL kept fairly quiet about it until the last one or two weeks leading to his trade, the only reason there were talks about Dwight going to LA was because of a massive amount of media hype surrounding the potential CP3 + D12 pairing. What most likely happened was that Dwight went see-saw on staying or wanting to be traded until Nets made those signings and all that was left was Rockets, Mavs and Lakers.
If you can recall, Dwight changed his mind about wanted to go to Nets several times. He said he wanted to stay, he wanted to leave, stay, leave, stay, leave, stay, going to LA all of a sudden.

So Dwight isn't hungry for being in the limelight, pursuing off the court acting career and being around all the stars? Are we talking about the same Dwight Howard here?

Nah, never trust Dwight. Just go by what you see and make your own predictions, tbh. I see a childish grown man who loves attention, wants to be in movies, likes Kobe for whatever reason and emulates Shaq. Just put 2 and 2 together, not sure why people are so adament on saying Dwight doesn't want to be in LA and would jump to Brooklyn given the chance.

No trolling. He wanted Brooklyn and now he's fine with LA. It's idiotic to think he can't get limelight in New Fucking York.

Oh, yes, of course, everything Dwight Howard says to the media is honest and straightforward and there's never anything else going on that he doesn't reveal. That's certainly been the case up to now. The man is like a rock. He's the John Wayne of NBA players. You can always count on his word. Never any backstabbing, never any double dealing, never any ego, never wants the spotlight on him. He's definitely the guy you'd want in the foxhole with you.

he might be a **** but what he said to the media about him staying with the lakers doesn't sound very false to me because thats the choice that is gonna bring him the biggest $ possible, nigga ain't leaving 20+ million on table to leave for another team as a free agent imho. he would replicate what he did in orlando even if he really wants out of LA

in all fairness dwight should have left orlando. they failed miserably at getting him a good supporting cast, and they had some contracts that made it seem like that'd be his core for the forseeable future.

i don't understand what these laker fans are talking about, dwight clearly wanted brooklyn more. he said it, sources with knowledge of the situation said it, and pretty much everyone involved with the nba knew it.

The question is, what would have been a good supporting cast for Howard? Did Howard need another dominant big next to him? Did he need a superstar perimeter player to take more shots? Who could have filled these roles? It's easy to say the players they got didn't work, but they seemed to fit Howard's game. I don't see who out there would have made the Magic better. It's possible that Howard isn't really a championship centerpiece.
Also, didn't Howard want some of those guys who had terrible contracts?

12-03-2012, 09:16 AM
orlando was the last team nigga wanted to play for, not matter it was brooklyn, dallas or LA it would always be a better choice for him to leave orlando rather than stay with the shitty franchise that the magic was, but he would never leave orlando (or LA speaking of now) as a free agent for $ reasons, which is what matters most for this son of a fucking bitch tbh

besides the max contract, what other shit can he earn in LA? sell more of those wanker arm sleeves?
Ain't going anywhere but the FT line tbh....

There's no guarantee of that dipshit. If the Lakers could land a Superstar at anytime they wanted then the whole Smush era would've never happened and Kobe's prime would've been taken advantage of more.
Michael Jordan.
