Duncan and Kobe have won almost all the championships since 1999. They're probably the most respected.

by whom? players? Chauncey Billups hands down.

by white fat america? It should be Kobe, he's been genetically engineered to be the Jordan's successor. Unfortunately, his major shortcomings as a player and human being severely hurt his stock.

1. Lebron
2. Dirk/Nash/Duncan/Kobe

Battier gets a lot of respect. Not as much as megastars, but still a lot for a glue guy.

Duncan. Billups, Dirk, Grant Hill.

Basically anyone who's old and didn't commit ass rape.

of the players you selected let's break it down....

Duncan was bitch slapped by Garnett --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WrfLiFibJG4

players pay lip service to Duncan because of the titles but they don't really respect his lame ass game...they feel (and I have a pulse on how the players feel) that Duncan was prolly one of the lamest big men to win a title..

Dirk has no one's respect...especially after Dirk allowed David West to basically put his fingers in Dirk's mouth...:lol

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CHPbm9q9wJA :lol

Nash has respect....

Nash doesn't have J Rich's respect after he knocked up Mrs Nash.

Kool will defend anyone wearing the purp'n'piss.

dirk is the first one coming out of my memory speaking of the most respectable player tbh. dude waited more than a decade before he won his first championship for himself and for the city :cry

^ Have I ever defended Pau? Have I ever defended Blake? Did I defend Mike Brown? Did I defend Kwame, Smush, Chucky Atkins, Luke Walton...I could on and on showing how your premise is false...In fact I'm willing to deal with Denver today if they want Pau...we can work something out rayray...what do ya say? Pau?

Jeremy Lin hands down. More people in the world respect him than most other players combined.

^ not necessarily so imho, lin is an american boy who happens to be trapped in a yellow body unfortunately, he was born n raised in cali and he didn't speak no chinese nor cantonese. the commie bullies just claim anything they wanna have, from lin to tibet, and to the islands in the south china sea

LeBron's game is probably the most respected by players, but not sure if LeBron himself is. I'm sure there are players around the league who don't respect some of the things he's said and done, the same way he's been criticized by fans on these boards. No one can question his talent or abilities, but gaining and keeping respect goes beyond just being the best player in the league.

I'd add the name Jason Kidd to the conversation. The first two guys I thought of were Kidd and Billups, who was already mentioned.
