If this is actual seeding, Spurs and Grizz can't both be actually in the top 3 correct?

2. OKC
3. Clippers
4. Grizzlies
5. Warriors
6. Jazz
7. Nuggets
8. Rockets

Incorrect. That rule was changed after Spurs Mavs 2006. A year too late, tbh.

Mavs would have beaten Phoenix in the 2nd round anyways, and they'd meet the Spurs in the WCF.

True but the Spurs got no rest after the Kings extended them to six games in the first round while the Mavs swept the Grizzlies. Even David Stern came out and said the Spurs got screwed in the scheduling. (:cryinsert Spur fan cries of fatigue here, mine included:cry) Maybe things would have been different in a WCF matchup. Maybe/probably not, tbh.
The Spurs have always claimed they lost Game 2 vs the Mavs due to not enough rest, fwiw.

surprise if the mavs don't make the playoffs tbh, knowing they never missed it in cuban's era. dirk will come back in time and secure them a playoff berth, only to get bounced off the 1st round though

But isn't there still a rule regarding division winners? Something like if you win your division, you're guaranteed a top-4 seed, but a non-division winner can make the top 4 based on record?
1. Spurs
2. Grizzlies
3. Thunder
4. Clippers
5. Nuggets
6. Lakers
7. Rockets
8. Mavericks
I think the Warriors are gonna sink, and the Mavs are gonna make a run when Dirk comes back. The Lakers will make the playoffs, but they'll be a first-round exit.
Eastern conference predictions:
1. Heat
2-8.

Either flame out in WCSF against monkeyball, or going all the way to the final for TD final shot at the ring.

1. OKC (Durant is gunning for an MVP, Westbrick will eventually accept being 2nd banana)
2. SAS (Regular season performance, par the course)
3. MEM (Gay will cost a few games)
4. Dallas (Dirk will get them into form)
5. Lakers (Eventually will stop bending over)
6. Nuggets (Don't see them ever having optimal rotations)
7. Clips (VDN will kill the team's chemistry along the road, don't see Sterling being smart enough to swap coaches.)
8. T-pups (Rubio will shape them up probably)
