View Full Version : Spurs Rest Days Differential
I was just browsing some Spurs related articles when I came across this chart. It compares the rest days of a team against the opponent's rest days (higher means more rest than opposing team). The Spurs are dead last as a result of their schedule. More reason to tell Stern to fuck off.

Good find :tu
In the future, when strength of schedule is calculated, it will factor in how much rest each team got before the game. For example, beating a team on the fourth game in five nights after you have four days off shouldn't be counted as a quality win no matter the level of opponent.

Wow nice find. Makes you wonder how we got these crazy early season roadies when the Rodeo trip is pre-known in the scheduling algorithm. The good news is were home heavy after that and our record hasn't suffered so far

As Andy Everett reminded today regarding the upcoming 4-games-in-6-days road trip :
4 games...4 different time zones.

Just makes it more ridiculous that we got fined for resting players. I mean really....

Now that's some bs. All the more reason they should have fought it. Oh well.

I wonder what this looks like at the end of a season? It definitely would not completely even out like it should.

What do the numbers mean in relation to actual days rest? Looks like the numbers are just around a mean average time. This could be misleading and meaningless if the difference is small from top to bottom in actual total days rest when averaged all out.
