Nope. Predicting a solid win. Classic trap game scenario for the Knicks.

Much like when Orlando beat the Lakers.

Or maybe not, since the Lakers and Magic are two evenly matched teams :lol

Hollinger disagrees. He had the Lakers at 8 ahead of the Hawks. So a 12-4 team was behind a 9-11 team (9-11, that's pretty ironic) while the Hawks last 10 rec is 9-1 and the Lakers is 4-6. I struggle to understand that system.

Related to this, the Lakers usually play like it's game 7 of the NBA finals during garbage time, which often makes what should've been a blowout into a respectable final score (see OKC game).

I don't want to hear any more of that shit from you deluded Laker fucks. This team fuckin' blows (giving up a 117 points to an incompetent road team. Seriously?) and it's more beneficial to your psyche to let go as soon as possible.

Typically, it's good to destroy something that's symbolic of your attachment to whatever addiction/habit/delusion you're trying to overcome. Crack addicts will often be asked to step on their pipe. It's a very powerful first step on the road to recovery and may I suggest printing out a picture of this man:

And promptly lighting it on fire for fuckin' up a $100,000,000 payroll to this degree. Give Popovich or Presti Kupcrap's budget and they would break 70 wins with ease. Yet your false god, "student has become the teacher," retard can't even manage a .500 record through the first quarter of the season.

I don't get how a team with Howard is so bad defensively. Even if Howard is only 80%, they should still be much, much better as Artest is still a capable defender as well.

They need Pau and Nash back and playing well.

I've wrote at length about this before, but ever since Tom Thibodeau perimeter-centric, scrambling help defense become en-vogue after '08, the "paint anchor" concept fell somewhat out of favor, and even obsolete in some respects since now every team has a stretch bigman that can pull one of the opposing bigs out of the paint. This usually results in a single big having to protect the paint all by himself (as we've witnessed happen to Duncan when Pop ditched the traditional twin-tower paint anchor scheme in favor of pairing Tim with a more mobile big who can guard the league's stretch 4's).

Furthermore, Dwight's an overrated paint anchor. A block whore who over-commits to ever bit of penetration.

Lakers are 7th in scoring without Nash. When he comes back scoring will go through the roof and turnovers will go down drastically. Say what you want about defense but in the game of basketball whoever scores the most wins. Every time :toast

The Suns could score like anyone but could not get stops when they needed them the most. Just ask the 2011-12 Spurs.

What I suspect will happen is towards the end of the season when the Lakers are going to be one of the lower seeds in the conference playoffs, the Lakers will change their tune. Instead of being an overpaid, underachieving club who spurned the NBA's most successful coach ever in place of a coach whose "glory days" were losing to the Spurs regularly in the playoffs and never making a finals appearance, who apparently can't even coach without a 38 year-old point guard to show everyone what to do, a coach who can find no use for a multi-talented Spanish big man who gave Team USA fits in the medal round only a few months ago, then the Lakers will begin to crow about how they're the "lower seed no one wants to face". How the conference powerhouses are quaking in their boots about meeting them in the first round with all the talent they have. How they're the lovable underdogs.

Then they'll get rolled in the playoffs by the Thunder, Grizzlies, Spurs or...and this is poetic justice...the Clippers, with Del Negro (of all people) out coaching Pringles.

Meanwhile Kobe will continue to have tantrums at his teammates and eventually management because "he just wants to win."

Defense? If the opponent can't out score us then we win. Simple as that.

Ah, so that's where the old Suns fans landed... No wonder.

But the margin is +7.10 for Atlanta and +2.20 for the Lakers in the last 10 games.

Just looked at the rankings. The metric that overrates the Lakers in this instance is their .500 strength of schedule compared to Atlanta's .415. I don't believe Hollinger's system takes into account whether or not the game is played at home, in which case, considering the Lakers had like 96 home games already, their respective SOS's should be about even.

Translation: There aren't winning, I can't talk smack anymore so I'll act indifferent.

Typical Laker fan: passive / aggressive

Soon as they start losing its...well I don't really care about it that much any...and hahaha you guys take this stuff way to seriously...or I didn't watch the game last night...

You guys were plenty interested and talking ish when you traded for Howard and got Nash. Now its...meh, not really a big deal anyway.

Hey Mr. Gay Pride listen up..as long as it's Kobe 5 > TOSB 4 I still feel I have a certain freedom of speech...but I won't post here anymore until my team starts winning...I'm not going to subject myself to the homosexual cat calls of the board....when we start winning then I'll causally come back...I'm doing this for me..for my well being....I'm a sore loser...if can't talk shit because of how bad-ass my team is then it's just not worth it

Typicaly front-running faggot. Can't talk a good game of shit without a winning team backing up his words.

As for Kirby: 5, Duncan: 4, us Spurs still have the ultimate counter to that in:

Finals MVPs

Duncan: 3

Kirby: 2

And regarding this season:

Spurs: 17-4

Lakers: 9-12

On second thought, maybe it is a good idea to leave. Since you're borderline retarded and lack the intelligence and wit to smack talk as you cheer on a suckass team, you're pretty much fucked on the board.

Defaulting to your homosexual fantasies again, I see.

My body is washed in a spray of ocean mist as the Lakerfan butts crash against crybaby beach. It is cool and refreshing.

Why so concerned about my bowel movements?

Oh, I know, it's because you're a chimp and any thinking about shit excites you, since throwing it is a primate's favorite past time.

Tbh I think the Lakers will miss Kobe more than the Spurs will miss Tony, and we're talking about a club that lost to two lottery teams by 54 points combined.

The butthurt begins, so long to being relevant this season.
