FACT:

The Spurs have 30 wins and 5 losses in their last 35 road games. One of the 5 losses was the game last week against the Heat when the Spurs took their top 6 players out of the lineup to "rest".

This an astonishing record in a league where the home team wins 2/3 of the games.

:blah

UPDATE:

this stat is for regular season only.

I assume that stat is regular season going back to last year.

So of those 5 road losses, besides Miami, one was to Utah (April 9) with the big 3 resting, and the other was the 40 point loss at Portland (Feb 21) with the big 3 out again.

So literally only 2 losses with everyone playing - Clippers Nov 7 and at Dallas March 17.

And the Dallas game was the first one with SJ in the lineup if I recall correctly. I remember everyone was impressed by his stout defense on Dirk.

So that one was pretty much a "getting acclimated to the spurs system" game.

That's crazy. How did we lose three straight road games in the WCF?

Because OKC is one of the best home teams as well - besides being darn good overall.

But I just looked at the schedule and both the Jazz and the Blazers will have two days off before we visit them this week. Its always difficult in Utah, so I do not think we will come through this road trip without a loss. And it will be interesting what Coach Pop does in the national televised game against the Blazers which is the 4th game in 5 nights.

Only for game 6... although I had a feeling it was over after losing by 20 in Game 3.
