1. My Shoes - I had the fortune of being sponsored by New Balance for two glorious seasons. Here’s the problem: New Balance stopped sponsoring basketball players almost three years ago. So while the other two or three players in the NBA wearing New Balance switched to Nike or Adidas or British Knights, I was left in the proverbial shoebox. Nobody wanted me.

To this day, I am still wearing New Balance basketball sneakers I have left over from the “good old days”. I’m down to my last four or five pairs and have no clue what I’m going to do when they run out. I even called New Balance in the hopes that they would send me some more. They said no. I then scoured the internet and came up emptier than Leonardo Dicaprio at the Oscars. In a last ditch attempt, I found one pair in my size on E-Bay but they were purple. The scrutiny from Coach Pop wouldn’t be worth it... But they are soooooo comfortable! The point is, I am obviously the only person wearing New Balance basketball sneakers in the NBA, possibly the world. Apparently that’s NOT COOL.

Awesome, thanks for the info guys. It was a bit of a coincidence that I asked about them today as I only started reading this thread recently. I wanted to ask what Kawhi had been wearing most of the season and Ace3g just answered that with the above post.

I wonder what he meant by the other shoes were messed up. Did he mean physically messed up, or did he mean they weren't a good fit for him?

The biggest thing is the comfort level to me. Like I said, the Crazy Lights (not fast) are a little narrow and I don't feel like I have the same support compared to the HDs. The Crazy Lights are definitely light but they aren't that much lighter then the HDs and I feel more explosive in the HDs as well. Both are good shoes, don't get me wrong I just love the way Hyperdunks feel and the support they give my ankles.

I hadn't actually seen that colorway of the Lebron 10s. I liked the shoes themselves, but didn't like any of the colorways that I've seen up to now until those 'Prism' ones.

I've looking to buy two pairs of shoes, and so far, I think that I will get a pair of Hyperdunks as the first pair, just need to decide on a second pair. I was going to get those Flight One's that Kawhi was wearing, but don't like the looks of them that much. Then I saw that Kawhi had changed it up last night and liked what he wore in the game. I knew the shoes were retros, I just didn't realize how the releases work for them. I only just started looking at shoes again the last few days, I haven't bought a decent pair for years, so just learning about how these retro releases work now. These threads on Spurstalk have really raised my interest again on getting back into decent shoes.

I still want to get a pair of these Jordan 3s, so I will keep a lookout for re-releases. Thanks for the link. Doesn't seem like the re-released Top Ten 2000s are that great performance wise. I still might get a pair for the looks though as they are on a good special at the moment on one of the online stores. I was going to use them for an outdoor shoe.

Can anyone recommend a decent outdoor Basketball shoe for sub $99. Don't want to use good shoes outside, so I just want to buy a pair of something that I can use outdoors. The Kobe 8s are considered Nike's best shoes of the year with a name attached to it (KD/LBJ).
I would get those iD'd, but if you're playing outdoors make sure you get the XDR soles. The normal soles are strictly for indoors, which wouldn't last a week of outdoor use.

I thought for a second that they were available online at both Champs and Foot Locker in size 12 but it was a hoax. Yeah, going to have to ID these, good looking out with the XDR sole, I usually ball indoors at a gym but definitely need to get used to outside courts too. Hate those double rims though.

btw, thanks for posting in this thread FlashZo. I've gotten back into decent shoes since I took your recommendation to check out Kicksoncourt a few months ago.

At first, I was looking at Retro models like the Jordan 3 and 4s (both still great shoes), but much prefer newer performance shoes after seeing how much better they are performance wise. There is still some great retro shoes though, and no shoe will make you a better player, but a good Basketball shoe is like a tool that can help get the job done easier.

Oh, and I agree about the Spizike's. LOL, does Stephen Jackson know anything? I hadn't looked at Basketball shoes for a good 6, 7 years, but even I wouldn't wear Spizike's for an actual pro game.

Got no preference between the IVs and the Vs, I think they're both awesome looking. The chrome VIs look better than the regular ones, but not by much imo. The VIs remind me of boats or something, kind like how the Kobe 2's (adidas) reminds of of that thing used to iron clothes.
