Spurs pussied out not signing Blatche. He'd look like an all star compared to Diaw Blair and Boner

Duncan/Splitter are fine. It's the rest that sucks. Diaw's not really a big. Blair is garbage and getting worse every year. Bonner is Bonner. SA should have taken a chance at Blatche.
I just wish Splitter was more aggressive on offense, it is a shame that old man Timmy takes it to the hole more aggressively than Tiago.

I don't disagree with this assessment but that doesn't change the fact that Splitter's actually played tough this game.

Yeah I know it's like 5 games in 7 nights, but if you get beat by guys like Babbitt and Pavlovic, you deserve to lose.

$pursDynasty
12-14-2012, 01:04 AM
hmmm sad that I am wishing we had a Hickson on our team, we don't need much just a big that is a monster on the boards and an intimidator on defense, is that too much to ask. Buford is a genius but why can't he find us that big, we don't even need on that can score the Spurs have enough points already on the roster. we need another quality big.

For all of my hating on Stern and the NBA for this schedule, isn't it better for a more mature team like the Spurs that this grueling part of the schedule appear at the beggining instead of at the end or in the middle? I know Stern isn't trying to do us any favors but he might have in spite of himself.

Hey I'm not arguing that the Thunder are a better franchise than the Spurs. Obviously 4>0
But,
We are currently better, and will be better for a long time.
Should be 4>1. Sonics won in 1979.

rofl this is why I hate SpursTalk after a loss.. The team is without Jack and Kawhi. They've played so many games and are exhausted. Granted, they may not win this year, but quit with the premature, jumping ship attitude.

The Spurs have one of the best records in the NBA, and the best road record in the NBA, and have played the last month without two of their best players.
The Spurs will be right there come playoff time, don't worry.
The Lakers, on the other hand... :lol

:cry My Clippers can't beat anyone in the 2nd round, so I have to bandwagon Miami. I am therefore, a loser.

Pretty sure the Sonics history legally stays in Seattle even though OKC stole their team...

I am not jumping shit and they are a very good team but they are not a title team anymore and I faced that years ago. I never thought they would win it all this year man. I still love and will root.

If there's anything good to get out of this game is that Duncan and Splitter can play great together.
I thought we struggled a lot offensively with them both in, Parker couldn't get to the rim off the dribble

We clearly miss rebounding from the 3. If we had Kawhi he could have been in at the end, maybe we get that defensive board in the last 2 minutes and are only down 3

Nope they got the trophy, the banners, and the retired jerseys. The only thing Seattle got to keep was the name and colors.

damn, didn't know Seattle got dicked that bad. That's why I hate facing them, Stern has a vested interest in their growth after screwing over Seattle.

Apparently the trophy is "on loan" right now to a museum in Seattle.

Ha ha. This game it was actually okay because Spurs needed some shooting. Though now I'm thinking that Pop needs to start Splitter since Diaw and Blair are slumping.
I thought you said the team needed a "more realistic strategy"

Okay! Okay! I was wrong.
I just figured Pop would avoid starting him and that Diaw/Blair/Bonner were our options.

Spurs making Lillard look like Isaiah Thomas.
I gotta a feeling the kid might be Isaiah all on his own. That boy can play, but then again that's no secret.

...literally!
While Bennett said all the right things about keeping the Sonics in Seattle, a team executive dinner on September 9, 2006, tells you all you need to know about the man and his motives. On that fine evening, the Sonics management, all held over from the previous ownership regime, all Pacific Northwesters, gathered in Oklahoma to meet the new boss. Bennett made sure they were sent to a top restaurant, and picked up the bill. As the Seattle execs sat down, four plates of a deep fried appetizer were put on the table. After filling their mouths with the crispy goodness, one asked the waitress what this curious dish with a nutty flavor actually was. It was lamb testicles. Bennett laughed at their discomfort and the message was clear: the Sonics could eat his balls.
