Tbh, I don't think they can sue if you send a "concerned" email to them asking them to "kindly" not get themselves involved in the Newtown affair.

I've always wondered why a vet or two didn't smuggle out some mortars and shells, and just level that fucking church. I'm sure the subsequent military investigation would find nothing of interest.

I'm always amazed at how many people are cool with vigilante justice.

Is it because we all grew up with Batman or Spiderman?

No, it's because people don't care how other criminals or outright evil people go down.

They are not criminals of the law, but they should be. What they are doing is morally unacceptable. I won't shed a tear of someone takes them out.

Explain how you are going to make them criminals without trampling on their constitutional rights.

You want YOUR morals/ethics codified in law and want the people you don't like criminalized. WC Knows What's Best For The Rest Of Us.

WOW...

That's it?

Freedom of speech is something not to impede lightly, but when it is clearly directed at a gathering that is meant to be solemn, then the rights of the people at the funeral are being violated.

I suppose you think you should be able to shout "fire" in a crowded theater as well.

As far as I know, they make sure they stay a certain distance from the funeral, and make sure to obey all city ordnances. *shrug*

If there is no fire, you can be prosecuted. There is a court case around it.

What court case?

How in that case did shouting fire incite violence or lawlessness?

It's not important enough for me to find for you. If you aren't aware of such case precedent, then I don't care. Just don't claim I'm wrong without finding a case to show that.

Just another day, I suppose.

There was a USSC case regarding the drafting and mailing of letters to military draftees that encouraged them to resist. The person who mailed them was charged and the case made it to the USSC. The decision was that the conviction was constitutional because it was at a time of war and the freedom of speech did not cover saying things detrimental to the war effort. During that decision the example "shouting fire in a crowded theater" was used, indicating that it is not a true exercising of the 1st Amendment to falsely shout "fire" in a crowded theater in order to incite mayhem.

I don't know of anyone who's been arrested for actually shouting fire in a crowded theater, however I was in a theater when some Mexican in the back yelled out, before the movie "he's got a gun!" and there was a moment of panic. The Mexican was taken away by police officers after some questioning of the movie goers. This was long before the Aurora shooting. I have no idea what happened to the guy or if any charges were filed.

Would he really have been prosecuted had he really thought he had seen a gun?

Doubtful.

I just have better things to do with my time. I've seen it, I know its there. maybe someone else will find it for you if you aren't willing to take the tame. Just search for why you cant yell fire in a theater.

It may get old for some of you. Not me, tbh.
