i'm lucky enough to have the OKC feed of the game. and so far the announcers have said:

parker is not a fast point guard.

westbrook is one of the best 2-way players in the league.

in practice, ibaka shoots 500 to 600 jumpers, and never misses.

pop had to beg jax to play tonight.

danny green is starting because leonard is out (in his defense, he did catch his mistake mid-sentence and play it off)

and a list of excuses why they lost opening night. a long list.

i wish i was making some of that up. no exaggerating. it would be nice if a broadcast crew actually did 5 minutes of research on their opponent.

Okies are new to the basketball stuff but that's pretty bad.

OKC's announcers are easily the worst in the NBA, only Portland is close, tbh..

POR/Boston/SA is pretty bad in terms of homerism. But as far as BBall knowledge, it seems like the OKC announcers literally only started watching the NBA when they got a team.

Im also watching he OKC feed. They've also said, we want the spurs to shoot quick shots, that's not their game. They said this after Green shot a quick shot for the 2 for 1.

I'm pretty sure they only started watching TV when Seattle got its team stolen.

They also said Duncan gave up $56 million this offseason to return to SA. Haven't heard that one before.

Portland a couple of years ago accused Pop of having the refs in his pocket, they get my vote.

Lucky you are not my Friend?..I fucking hate these Homers...I live here in OKC so anytime they play you have to hear these Fucks, unless of course it is a Nationally Broadcasted game...No bullshit I watched most of the Game on Mute and any of their games I decide to watch...Hate that they kicked our ass....GO SPURS GO...Ride or Die

Not only that, but Green ended up making the 3 on the backend of that 2 for 1, so they had a chance to correct the mistake and couldn't/didn't

Haha, good point. That thought probably didn't even come across in their heads. They were very tough to listen to tonight. I understand homerism, but I-just-started-watching-basketball-4-years-ago homerism is really annoying.

Memphis announcers are pretty goddamn terrible as well.

the rockets announcer (not drexler) was strongly implying that Duncan was a dirty player/Duncan was trying to injure a Rocket's player on a screen.

To be fair, every local broadcast has homerism. The Commentators are on the broadcast that displays FS Spurs in the upper right corner after all.

Also being fair, Bill and Sean give credit where credit is due, to Spurs and opponents. They also call out bad plays from both sides.

Not in the least bit surprised. I think Okies have finally found a bright spot to their lives.

Clippers commentators are reasonable and so are Lakers tbh, when watching their games I've heard more subtle or lacking homerism, could have just been the games I saw

Land isn't so bad but fuck Elliott is shit, his homerism and non stop criticism of Timmy's looks etc. makes me think he just wants to suck his dick

But now that success has come to the Clippers the announcers begin to become annoying as well. It just happens ...

I move for this to become an official thread for shitty commentating during the season.

When they said Parker has to play crafty to make up for a lack of speed i almost fell off the couch.
And greens 2 for 1 attempt being chalked up to good OKC defence was pretty awful too.
Abaka having a 'man size' game doesnt indicate poor bball knowledge, just general douchebaggery

Elliott and Heinsohn are huge homers, but at least they are entertaining, tbh..

Houston, OKC and Portland are just as biased, in addition to being shitty announcers..

The best announcers are:
1. Golden State
2. Brooklyn
3. Indiana
4. New York
5. LA Clippers/Sacramento

Top 5 imo are.

LA Clippers
LA Lakers
New York
Golden State
Sactown - Bill Walton alone should be worth watching the Kings games.
