I hated the idea last year, but I've warmed up to it. Maybe more than warmed up actually, because I like it. Can't argue the results so far. The knock was that it'd clog the lane and slow down the offense more than it would improve the defense, but they've found ways to keep the lane open with both of them out there.

I agree with this, and I think it's the right decision. I don't know how much serial correlation there is in made shots, but I doubt it's high. I think it's more than safe to say a fresh, rested body is more conducive to getting a win.

Well, that's what Pop has been doing the last 4-5 games, and each of those games ended in a loss. For example, Patty and De Colo might start hitting shots, Gary Neal might be 0/6, and instead of riding Patty and De Colo, Pop will go back to Neal, who continues his poor performance, thus contributing to the loss.

I like both Gneal and Millsanity but business dictating that other than Millsy chance of tempo both have same strengths. GN is due a reasonable pay day somewhere not long from now while Millsy we can keep, most likely for very little at this time. It's going to be interesting. I feel Pop has a certain amount of trust in GN but Mills tempo change is something very few teams have on a roster.

Good question. I pointed out in the grades thread there has been a recent trend where spurs have been winning the inside battle going into the second halfs of games. The opposition is adjusting by crowding the paint. If Green and Neal aren't hitting, surely ther are not expecting Tony Parker to save the day from outside.

Definitely like to see Mills get more time when the perimeter guys are missing from outside. Also Kawai back in the starting line-up should help matters, as he's not one to just settle for the longshot.
