Some may not agree, but I've looked at film and at stats and it is looking more and more like RG-3PO is just another Jason Campbell but with more speed, media attention and sexy dread locks.

If you look at the stats, you will see the two are essentially the same quarterback. They both had high completion percentages. They both throw most of their completions and passes short or behind the LOS. Neither could throw for many yards, usually between 150-250 a game. Both had high TD to INT ratios. The only thing RG cubed clearly has over Jason Bubble is that he's fast and can run around a lot.

Those are all good things rigth? Except consider this. Jason also had a pretty decent start for the Skynyrds. Even went 6-2 with Jimmy Crack Zorn and I Don't Care as the coach back in 2008. But his limitation ate him up eventually. He couldn't carry the team or even close to it. The league figure him out and how to defend him and now he's all but out of the NFL.

In time, I think RG will end up the same way. It may take longer, and he may have a bit more success since he can run, but the guy can't read pre-snap defenses (like Campbell), always seems to check down to the safe guy (Campbell), and now it looks like he has happy feet (again, Campbell) thanks to the hit he took.

If you don't buy it, watch this Sunday. He won't even come close to replicating what happened on Turkey day. All running qbs have to eventually show they can play real Quarterback and show poise in the pocket and run smartly to avoid rush or get a few yards and get out of bounce. Most can't and most disappear after a few years. You can only survive off of gimmicky college offensive crapola for so long. When the league catches up to RG cubed (and it will) you will even further see his resemblence to Jason Cambpell. Take the trick out of the pony and soon all you're left with is a gimp pony.

Wait, can dallas still make the playoffs? I thought if the cowboys beat washington, that they would have the same record, and washington would win the tie-breaker. Or can they only win if they beat washington and MIN and CHI lose?

Pretty sure winner of Cowboys-Redskeens gets the division title

TO BREAK A TIE WITHIN A DIVISION

If, at the end of the regular season, two or more clubs in the same division finish with identical won-lost-tied percentages, the following steps will be taken until a champion is determined.

Two Clubs

Head-to-head (best won-lost-tied percentage in games between the clubs).
Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the division.
Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games.
Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference.
Strength of victory.
Strength of schedule.
Best combined ranking among conference teams in points scored and points allowed.
Best combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed.
Best net points in common games.
Best net points in all games.
Best net touchdowns in all games.
Coin toss

Ok, well I guess the cowboys win the emboldened part if they win the last game.

Cowboys win, they the 4 seed

Washington wins they the 4 seed and cowboys are OUT

Washington can still get in even if they lose, as a wild card. Vikings and bears would have to lose

Probably. Same reason Colts will retain #5 seed if they lose and the Bengals win (both teams would have same record, but Colts are 4-1 vs 3-2 in common games)

I was just trying to find where one would compare "common games"

I don't know that there's any sports media site that will spell it out for you directly so I did a little research for you. Division opponents don't count as common opponents because record against division opponents is its own tiebreaker category. So by eliminating games against the Eagles and Giants from consideration, the Skins and Cowboys played eight common games (4 vs the NFC South and 4 vs the AFC North per their division's scheduling). Here were the results.

Redskins (4-4)
-----
Ravens - W
Browns - W
Steelers - L
Bengals - L
Panthers - L
Bucs - W
Falcons - L
Saints - W

Cowboys (5-3)
-------
Ravens - L
Browns - W
Steelers - W
Bengals - W
Panthers - W
Bucs - W
Falcons - L
Saints - L

So the Cowboys have a one game edge over the Redskins in that category. The only way for Dallas to enter a tiebreaker scenario with Washington is for them to win this Sunday. If that happens, that means they split the head-to-head meetings, eliminating that as a tiebreaker. They would both have 4-2 records within the division, eliminating that tiebreaker and advancing to the common opponents tiebreaker where I've just shown Dallas has the edge. So for Dallas it's win and you're in. Washington can still make the postseason with a loss, but they'd be backing in as they'd need losses by Chicago and Minnesota to qualify.
