I don't give a shit if I "jinx" the Clippers (up 3 right now with 23 seconds left) or Paul. He's the best closer in the game, bar none. Clippers looked primed for a blowout loss and he willed his fuckin' team to the lead (and probably the win).

Oh yeah, as for the Clippers, they're pretty damn good.

Also, I love Chris Paul, but he's not the best closer:lol..

The one that I hadn't heard before, but was pretty convincing, was hearing the Jazz radio guy say that entering tonight, Paul was 107-115 from the free throw line in the last 5 minutes of close games in the last two seasons.

I also wasn't aware until tonight that he apparently led the league in scoring AND assists in that situation last season.

I have to agree tbh.

Ever since he got into the league, it seems like he always makes the right decision in crunch time. Really doesn't make many mistakes throughout the game either. Might not be able to get his shot off like a Durant, but I'd trust him with the game in the line over just about anybody imho

Seriously, though, I don't think CP3 is the best closer since Jordan, but he's been the best crunch time player this year.

But I do think Kirby ain't the best closer since Jordan, as the stats fully demonstrate. Honestly, there's probably not one definitive best crunch time player over the past decade-and-half. Seems every year a different player is the best clutch player in the league.

Paul is still agreat player, but Blake is the only one that can get CLips to the promise land. After PG has faltered a great case can be made BLake G has been the 3rd best player in the NBA this season.
Dont get me wrong the gap to #2 is still HUGE but BG can widen the gap between 3 and 4 with a strong claim the last 10 or so games and a great playoff run ...

But yea, I agree that Griffin can be listed as the 3rd best player in the league. Davis is a monster though tbh, he has shown all the tools and potential, he will be with the Durant, Lebron tier next year or some time soon.

I agree with MJ he looks like what Mid said in "spurts" but he has never looked as good as he did pre-injury. he has heart, stones and one of the best handles. And his crazy gambles on defense leads to steals and fastbreaks.
But CN is also right Griffin is the best player on that team ...and will have to carry them to a title I doubt Paul can ...

his game doesnt amount to shit besides sports center highlights,

plays no lick of defense, puts up invisible stats that dont affect the game at all, his just another kevin love....

if he was that good he would be dictating the game played on his terms, forcing other teams defense to collapse on him or attracting whatever double triple teams....they just let him get his while they stop the other 4 monkeys

Seems to me like you hadnt based on your response. By comparing Griffiths to Amare Im merely complementing and agreeing hes a monster. Let me remind yoh prime Amare was a true beast and top bigman in the game.

But like Amare, Blake lacks the Alpha gene, the intellect and the testicular fortitude to put it all together and carry a team through playoff series. Thus why I say hes a pussy, got all d tools but will never ever amount to anything more than an allstar bigman. And like Amare(and dwight for that matter) when the athleticism leaves Blake, he will be downgraded to a mere scrub.

What did Chris Paul do wrong in the 4th exactly?

Every Clipper was choking on their dick in the 4th except Paul, but let's put the loss on Paul because he missed a FT that would've only cut the game to 2 anyway.

And his TO was bullshit. Fouled on the play.

But we won't talk about the Clippers giving up 16 offensive boards to an undersized team, nor will we talk about Blake Griffin in foul trouble all game.

Blaming the 06' loss on Dirk is just as stupid as blaming Paulus himself for the bitter defeat in Stalingrad. It was a horrible decision to get embroiled in the street fighting against Chuikov's troops, where our advantage of armored & motorized troops was considerably neutralized. Paulus was just strictly executing the Fuhrer's orders, so it was the Fuhrer's terrible mistake that dug the grave for the 6th Armee that consisted of 300,000 gallant German soldiers.

Paul was lethal in the clutch before and when I made this thread. I think he had a streak where he made like 44-45 FTs in clutch moments. The only knock was his deference to Pargo in that Game 7.

Something mentally broke in the guy. He can't finish games anymore.

Better than Snitch who can't even finish with white whores in Colorado tbh.

I've always felt you could contribute a lot more than this but it seems like lately, the quality of your posts has gone downhill with your failed attempts at humor, Kobe rape jokes aren't even funny anymore.

I still have my faith that you'll talk about basketball more as the season goes on. You're one of the few ones who understands basketball.

I haven't deflected anything. I've already admitted that Chris Paul totally lost the plot.

I'm just saying you shouldn't be laughing at Paul's 34 percent mark when Kirby is shooting [want to guess?] in the 4th.

Is this not a thread about CP0? If it is, what's the need to bring a 36 year old Kobe into it? :lol

PS - I've said it a million times. Kobe doesn't care about FG%, neither will the HOF voters. What's it to you? :downspin:
