I'd give the edge in the front lines to team 2, but the backcourt edge definitely goes to team 1 bitg time, and 1 would win.

If you change KG with Manu, and Šarunas Jasikevicius for lets say t-mac, I think we have a tie. Now your list: It's just absurd. Why would T-mac or KG even deserve such treatment?

True, backcourt of Team 1 would own backcourt of Team 2 but I think Timmy and Shaq would own Malone and Hakeem.

Team 2 might be better if they had someone in the backcourt that could, or was willing to pass the damn ball. I can already see Kobe and T-Mac running around, dribbling like crazy and forcing the shot at the end of the shot clock. Replacing T-Mac with Nash would make a more intriguing match up.

team 2 = no PG.

they would get their ass wupped. it would be ugly, kinda how the USA team lost in the Olympics :)

Nash?

Team 1 would then have a better point guard, AND be playing 5 on 4 when they had the ball.

Turthfully, I'd replace Barkley on 1 with Larry Bird, but then it'd be an ever bigger ass-kicking.

:lmao imagining Nash guarding either Magic or Jordan.

I'm assuming that Tim would play point guard on team team 2? Seriously, I don't know that I've even seen any of the other four throw a pass. Team one would walk away with it.

Better series would replace T-Mac (this is a big make believe series so he would quit anyways) and replace him with someone like Isiah Thomas or Steve Nash. Then slide Barkley to the four slot on team one and replace the Mailman with Larry Bird. KG doesn't belong there but I don't know who to replace him with? Pippen maybe.

I think the point was to keep players from the same eras together.

So you can't put Isiah or Pippen on team 2.

Ah, I see now. :oops

Well I still stand by my decision to get Bird onto team 1. Now that I know the restrictions on the rosters I still say axe T-mac and KG. In their place...would Reggie Miller be too old school to put on team two? He's well older than anyone on there, but he's that much younger than most of the team 1 lineup. I guess he has to play referee. Nash is too small to guard anyone there, even if he did play defense. Maybe Billups at the point? I don't know if there's really any PG's from the recent crop of guys who have the side and speed of Magic.

to me out of that matchup, the only advantage team 2 has Duncan. For every basket shaq scores, Hakeem will dream shake it back in his face. Look at when shaq faced him when he was with orlando, that was one of the worst dominations possible.

Either way, i still think team 2 can and would take team 1,

thats my opinion

Who's on the bench for the teams??

Team 1 by a mile. If you're talking about 1990s vs. 2000s then I suggest putting Jason Kidd in place of T-Mac. They would really need a point guard.

I'd like to see (a healthy) Baron Davis & Ray Allen one team 2 instead of Kobe, and T-mac.

I dont think Team 2 has a real big advantage in the front court over Team 1 anyway... Hakeem in his prime schooled O'neal... so why would it be different in this team?

Team 1
1.magic >> kobe (as a point guard, and heck as a player)
2.his Airness >> tmac (is there really a debate over that?)
3. Sir Charles > kg (in terms of team play, and will to win)
4.mailman < td (but, can you imagine being doubled by mailman and jordan?)
5.dream >> shaq

If you want an example of how good that team was, just check out Dream Team 1 and replace David Robinson / Patrick Ewing with Hakeem (who most rate as unfortunately better) then you could see how dominate that team would be.
