De Colo has no confidence in his shot - that was an easy reverse.

I remember when he was drafted he was hailed as a future star. Especially the LA media, they thought he was going to beast.
Yea, hes just kind of a middling player.

Less than middling for the NBA, although he';d be great in a small basketball market like Oz (he'd average 40/gm here).
Nick Young plays like an Asian streetballer - seemingly has no idea that basketball is a TEAM game. :lmao

The easy reverse layup that he gave to Grizz was okay, but in that last play he made the shot harder, passed it to a guy who had a defender between him and the basket! I want to see De Colo dunk the shit out of that himself. :ihit
Also, he screwed Patty's assist on both plays! :lmao

Who has been suggesting that? De Colo is clearly the 3rd stringer, with Neal the backup (still not sure I'm comfortable with that for the playoffs, but as long as Manu is running the team for him I don;t mind so much), and Mills for special teams (if only he'd shown some consistency he could have grabbed the backup slot, but now that looks unlikely).

Ya, it definitely wasn't the right decision. I'd assume, though, if it was a close game he wouldn't have made that play.
Although with all our other small guard being shoot first types, I'm liking that De Colo is looking like a change up from that. And I think he's getting better at picking his spots. Though I'm not as confident as I was before Neal's injury that Nando will be consistent enough this season to break into the playoff rotation.

Also, wasn't it Patty's steal that led to that fastbreak that saw De Colo pass off an open shot to Blair who then missed the dunk and got fouled? The NBA didn't even credit Patty with the steal...

Well, prior to Neal's injury, if you remember Nando had a string of good games, and in those first couple games without Neal Nando actually got his number called for the back up spot. If he had continued to play well, he probably would have gotten that role, even when Neal came back (though that would have required some creative lineup shuffling from Pop). But as we all saw, Nando kinda shrunk from the moment, and Pop started playing Mills more. Mills actually took that chance and has played pretty damn good, so at this point, I agree that it's all up in the air.
The question I'm wanting to have answered over the rest of the season is how will Nando learn to play with Manu. That might have been part of the problem with Nando's limited run at back up point, they came in together each of those few games, and because everything Nando does, Manu does better (and then of course is a much better scorer to boot), Nando's pluses kind of got canceled out.

Crappy ATT center statistician strikes again it looks like. I could have sworn Mills had another steal earlier in the game as well that wasn't recorded. :wtf

I like the starting lineup but I wish Pop could figure out a rotation that would bring back the Splitter-de Colo pairing. That was fun while it lasted.

De Colo spelled Tony first this game with Neal at the 2, IIRC. So he was backup point from a game planning standpoint
