(On the way Stephen Jackson was injured…)
“It is maddening. It is the same way at the ends of the court. It is an accident waiting to happen.”

(On personnel and fans going to the courtside seats during a play…)
“After what happened I have no doubt the league is going to contact people and make sure everybody shores up their discipline in that area. It is obvious that people shouldn’t be ordering beers, or cokes, or hot dogs, or whatever they ordered while the game is going on. Each arena has to have the responsibility of doing that.’

(On the seriousness of Stephen Jackson’s injury..)
“It’s not serious. He’ll miss tonight and maybe New Orleans. He will probably be 50-50 for New Orleans.”

(On what concerns Popovich most about the 76ers team…)
“Whenever we play Philly they are always aggressive and physical team. You have to bring you’re “A” game. They are going to bump you and hit you. They are going to be physical with you. They are going to create turnovers and fuel their own offense. You have to come ready to play and understand it is going to be a competitive night. (Jrue) Holiday is having a great year. They have a good mix of shooters. They are hard to cover in transition and in the half court. Finding those guys in transition for three’s is a really important thing for us.”

No, CH, if you would check you would see that I have never in my life accused tony of hero ball, and i have challenged a couple of other posters who have done so. I don't happen to think that Tony plays hero ball at all. I saw Tony force the issue three times on several possessions at the beginning of the game when other guys were more open. :rollinAgain, I was referring specifically to that one play. Throwing the ball behind ours back isn't the same as good ball movement and passing that goes through every player's hands and results in a player wide open for a dunk.

What does that one play have to do with the fact that you said the Spurs don't have good ball movement? Serious question. I can't even imagine that kind of logical leap you're making in your head to say the team leading the league in assists doesn't move the ball well enough. Unless you were talking about the Sixers' offensive possession, in which case I'm puzzled as to how you want the Spurs to exhibit good ball movement when they don't have the ball.

Kind of sad that NDC looks a little out of place. I thought he was really improving but he looks to have hit a wall as of late. His shots are off and his feel for the offense has deteriorated. I wonder if we're better off just giving him spacing to facilitate his playmaking and hoping he'll find some cutters.

Timmy's D in the immediate basket area has always been the best in the league.. its almost automatic that when a guy goes up for a layup/dunk with Tim around its a blocked shot.

Guys like Ibaka and Dwight Howard may have more blocked more shots.. but they tend to chase everything and pad their blocks on lower % shots.. I think i saw a stat before that he has always blocked the highest potential FG% of shots compared to the rest of the leagues shotblockers.. which means his blocks are more valuable. Wasnt surpised at all when i saw that stat tbh.

Beautiful passing by the sixers. If only we could get that kind of ball movement.

Dude, for fuck sake, work on your reading comprehension. No where in my post did I say that the Spurs had bad ball movement. I was referring specifically to that one play from the 76ers. In other words, I wish that our passing could be as crisp as that one play from the 76ers. Our usual passing is still leagues above of the 76ers.

I just phrased the comment badly. My bad.:lol

I happen to AGREE that some posters are like that. What I can't seem to get through to you is that I am the OPPOSITE of those posters. I have called them out repeatedly and consistently fussed at Timvp, even, when he ,imo, doesn't give Parker enough credit for having carried this team for all of last season and most of this one.
