On one hand, fuck you Jerry. You're a faggot for firing the one coach who knows what he's doing.
OTOH, a contender just might be getting a good DC and hell have a job where his timely stops won't be negated by a choking piece of shit.

As much as I hate rob, I'd take him over that shitty DC haslett

The move is surprising but Rob Ryan was very overrated in his short time in Dallas. The guy just didnt bring enough heat to opposing QBs. Kinda glad he's getting the boot but come on, JG and JJ are more to blame than him.

Decimated with injuries yet had the 9th ranked scoring defense. God damn, Jerry is an idiot who needs to die.

RR put Ware in coverage way too much, dropped 8 in coverage way too much. Especially knowing there were no beasts on the DL he shouldve put the extra pressure on over half the time which would have led to quick poor throws and more than likely a lot more turnovers. Come on tho JJ, clean fucking house and get a real staff. Including a legit GM.

Dont get caught up in rankings, otherwise ur previous quote regarding a choke artist cant hold water. As a football fan, i want my DC to coach his guys to get the fucking ball, not get stops. They never got the stops in crunch time. Dude was almost as vanilla as Ol Wade, just a couple chocolate chips mixed in. Overall not very good.

Yeah, I guess its less "how could you fire a good coordinator" and more of a "so you fired Rob, but not the incompetent snake that is Jason Garrett".

this shit pisses me off.
fuck jerry.
this nigga is firing everybody EXCEPT the main culprits of this fuckery.
garrett needs to go and he needs to step down from the gm position...and don't give it to stephen. bring in an outside person.
but none of that shit will happen and the cowboys will continue to be an 8-8 team.

Totally on board with you there man. Early in the season it looked like the Boys could get a shot at Gruden in the offseason, and SOBs just had to show us how mediocre they could be. Securing JGs job for at least one more year.
I actually think, and i am often wrong, that JG, if he would give up playcalling could be a good HC. Too much on his plate with not enough experience for him to succeed IMO.

If the Cardinals promote Horton he'd be a great replacement at DC but they're way too cheap for premier assistant coaches.
:lol Jerry for scapegoating the one coach who deserved to keep his job.

Must have been an internal thing -with the other coaches/players or both. Jerry has a longer leash than most when it comes to productivity.

No, it was just a scapegoating so Jerry could say he was making "major changes" without getting rid of Garrett and Romo.
I'll be without a job for like 5 minutes

If that's the case I wouldn't be surprised. Jerry's ego is bigger than Texas. He'll never admit he's a terrible general manager, and he thinks he really knows how to pick em in the draft :lol

Rob Ryan's response to being fired
I inherited a team that was 31st in the league in defense and made them better," Ryan said. "I (expletive) made them a hell of a lot better. I'll be out of work for like five minutes."
He continued, "I think I did a good job and I think our staff did a good job on defense trying to compete with what we had at the end of the year," Ryan said. "But the best job we did was when we were able to coach our starters."
:lol fuck you jerry ... :lol nigga better find a way to hire lovie smith

http://cowboysblog.dallasnews.com/2013/01/sherrington-rob-ryan-never-a-good-fit-for-dictator-for-life-jerry-jones.html/
Jerry Jones promised us that it was going to get “very uncomfortable” out at Valley Ranch this off-season, and apparently he didn’t mean a change of furniture.
Rob Ryan now joins Skip Peete as the two least obvious places to start retribution for three years in a row without any playoffs.
The defensive coordinator has to play safeties and linebackers off the street, and he gets canned?
The running backs coach can’t keep his top two backs healthy, so he’s out?
Meanwhile, the general manager assembles one of the ugliest offensive lines ever, among other sins, and the head coach still calls plays.
If you were to list the primary reasons for the Cowboys’ mediocre ways, the GM might claim Nos. 1-6. A head coach with time-management issues while pulling double duty would rank right up there, too.
You already knew that Jerry wasn’t going to fire himself and hire, say, Mike Holmgren to run the day-to-day duties. He’s constitutionally incapable. In some cultures, it’s called “dictator-for-life.”
As for Jason Garrett’s job security, at least as far as play-calling goes?
Jerry needs to make at least one more major move with his coaching staff.
Come to think of it, he could turn a fire hose on the whole lot and he’d get no big argument here. The group hasn’t exactly distinguished itself.
Ryan never seemed like a good fit. Too much ego to suit Jerry.
He certainly seemed a poor choice his first year with the Cowboys, when he shoved his entire playbook down the players’ throats for the first game, which just so happened to be against his brother, Rex. It was too much, too soon.
He backed off this season out of necessity, what with all the new guys coming and going. You’ve never seen so many guys out for the season. Marcus Spears actually admitted at one point that he didn’t know some of the replacements on Sunday.
Jerry likes Garrett for all the right reasons, not the least of which that he defers to his boss. If he really wants Garrett to succeed, he’ll make at least one more major change this off-season to his staff. And if he wants to pretend he’s making his head coach uncomfortable while he’s at it, we’ll go along, too.

god damn rob ryan was the only dude I liked on the cowboys team
The only coach on the team worth a damn. Jerry Jones is dead to me. He wants nothing to do with coaches who won't jerk him off.
And canibspur is retarded.

What's wrong with Cowboys fans? Rob Ryan is awful. He's always been awful, and teams just keep hiring him because fail to look passed the name an actually look at the production. Dallas spent too much money on defense for it to such as badly as it did. I don't care about what type of injuries they had; it's the coordinator's job to worth passed that. He isn't the only one who needed firing, but it won't be hard to upgrade from him, either.
A :lol at people thinking it matters that players love him. Players love immature coaches and hate disciplinarians. Whether that coach is actually good at his job has very little to do with that. Just look at how much Bucs players loved Raheem Morris.

The Ryans are overrated tbh, if this means the Cowboys can get Monte Kiffin, I'm all for it.
