Was Pop a good teammate to have?

Are you asking if Pop was "over himself"?

Great shooting percentage for a guard, tbh.

a guard shooting 56%
no wonder pop demands efficiency

Doesn't explain why Pop, someone who shot at 56%, keeps going to Neal as his backup point guard when Neal's currently shooting at 43% (fg attempts) and 36% from three.

Now, this is a wild guess, but I'd suggest that it could be because he hasn't been able to find a reserve guard shooting 56% for the minimum. Awful FO, I know.

True:lol, but De Colo's shooting at 47% from the field and 40% from three, and Mills is shooting 49% from the field and 43% from three. Not near as good as the legendary Pop, but still higher than Neal's current percentages.

Under 80% from the FT line

Not acceptable

if we needed to hit a big 3, id much rather have Neal shooting than De Colo

Damn, no wonder Pop can't stand it when players miss games (or training camp *glances at Tiago*) with little injuries. Every player on that team that averaged more than three points played in every game :wow

79.6%, close enough. Round to 100th and it's 80%

In 1970 players took the court with injuries unless it was something major.

it would be a little more impressive if it were more than 24 games

what the hell are you talking about
it looks like 6 guys didnt play every game
and 5 scored less than 3 ppg

and neals shooting percentages arent bad
he gets almost no shots at the rim aka easy points
his shots are all 3s or midrange
hes shooting over 50% from 3 different areas and the other 2 are at about 35% which is slightly below average
hes also shooting 38% or higher from every area except the right corner where hes been terrible at 29.5%

air force stats without number of downings seems incomplete.

Air Force shot bad from the arc that year. Not a single 3 point shooter in the house.

Plus in the 70's they used a bag of potatoes instead of a ball.

You would have thought that Pop being a senior at the AFA they would have spelled his first name correctly.

Greg instead of Gregg or Gregg instead of Greg

It ain't Ellis Island. Then again it is redundant. Drop and give me twenty....
