Biggest NBA markets:

NY Knicks (24-13)
LA Lakers (16-21)
Chicago (20-15)
Boston (20-17)
Dallas (15-23)

Notice how the Spurs, Heat, Thunder, Grizzlies, and LA Clippers, all with better records than the above, aren't on the list?

Actually I didn't phrase it as well as I should have. Should've just said Bigger Market teams underperforming instead of Big vs Small.

Miami is a pretty decent market, but they're still nowhere near as big as NY or LA.

The Clippers are the 20th most valuable team in the league.

Miami is a small media market but they've got the beaches and shores to compensate.

miami is a big market and basketball has become the #1 sport in miami since the merger of big 3. LA is a gigantic market but with the rising power of clippers the local fans are pretty much split between clippers and lakers now, lakers still have a huge market oversea though.

Have to put the Bucks in the mix. Right now, they would make the playoffs.
