Heat coming out of a solid win against GSW last night... will they be :cry tired :cry?

Close for a half but Heat win by 6+ ...Moral victory (which I dont believe in) for the Lakers. Heat should beat this team by 10+ tbh ...

10 reans why a easy Heat victory is on tap:
1. Lebron
2. Better defenders on Heat: Battier, chalmers, HAslem Wade Anthony and Lebron are capable on defense. Lakers have Clark, Dwight Kobe MWP
3. Turnovers Heat cause em and we give the rock away freely ...
4. Foul trouble Dwight and MWP will be in it most likely ...if not then we keep it close for a while ...
5. 3pt shooting they are good at it we suck at it ...
6. Transition game they are great at it we suck stopping it mostly due to turnovers and the fact we are slow of foot
7. Lebron
8. Lebron
9. Lebron
10. Lebron

If the teams are close (they aren't) bet on Lebron ... so the choice here is obvious.

I was wondering about the scheduling by Sternie, figuring he would make sure Kirby was well rested and the LeBrons tired out.
Lakers previous game at Staples Tue night (48 hours rest).
Lakers next game Sun night @ Toronto (72 hours rest post game)

Heat @ Golden last night.
However......
Heats next game is 5 1/2 days later!! Home vs Toronto next Wednesday. Wow.

Wow, Pop no need to make excuses Heat stil win. Also no one complains about all of the wins SA gets when road teams go to the AT&T after visiting Houston or Dallas the previous night. Schedules even out over time ...dont be a wuss. If you are good enough it doesnt matter most nights and every team faces a few "schedule losses". Spurs have the rodeo trip and when they are rolling the back2backs don't matter ....

I will admit for marquee TNT/ESPN/ABC games they should try not to schedule teams playiing on the road on a 2nd night of b2b ...

Yep. And yet here we are.

Schedules even out over time
Nope. In one or both of the recent rigged title years we had a thread about back to backs. The Flamers had the fewest in the NBA. And that was with **away** games vs Clippers. :lmao
Perhaps it's evened out this year.

you really cant be serious.. lebron is 28 years old, hes at the prime of his career. Probably the best shape you will see him in, and your saying hes tired out? with a stacked roster?? they should have no problem giving a full effort against LA

But from what I hear they outsource schedule making or have a team that does it IIRC ... they do have to factor other events etc.

Lakers benefit because Buss prefer Laker games on Sunday, Wednesday and Friday we only play home games on Wednesday Thursday (TNT) and Mondays when it's a holiday or ESPn or someone else requests it or a concert breaks that schedule. That goes way back to the early years of Buss's ownership.

Jazz actually have the best scheduling. No sunday games so many teams get stuck with a Friday Denver/Portland game with a Saturday @ Salt Lake back2back ...

Point is I doubt there is a conspiracy in schedules. Things like the rodeo, other events the chicago circus all impact schedules. The Lebron, Kyrie, Ewing, rose drafts are more suspect tbh ...

Killakobe81

Plus the texas triangle scheduling helps the Spurs/Mavs/Rox before this week (pelicans?) last team to sweep them on one trip was 2009 Lakers ...

Thanks for validating my point. With 5 1/2 days off after the Heat play tonight they should be able to give full effort in smoking Kirby tonight.

From the L.A. Times in 2010. Of course the link is no longer live. Perhaps Sternie and Buss ordered it deleted. :lol

Guess which of the 30 NBA teams will play the fewest sets of back-to-back games this season?
Yep, the Lakers.

According to number-crunching BasketballProspectus.com, the Chicago Bulls, Milwaukee Bucks and Atlanta Hawks each got stuck with 23 back-to-backs in 2010-11, topping the dreaded B2B list. It's the second straight season the Bulls have led the NBA in this grind-it-out category.

Meanwhile, the Lakers will play the fewest, with 15 sets of back-to-backs.

Does this matter? Yes, given that the Lakers have nine thirtysomethings on their roster (Ron Artest, Matt Barnes, Steve Blake, Kobe Bryant, Derek Fisher, Pau Gasol, Lamar Odom, Theo Ratliff and Luke Walton); this schedule should give them a little breather as they try for a three-peat.

Last season the Lakers played 20 sets of back-to-backs -- their record was 24-16. (After the playoffs start, of course, there are no back-to-backs.)

Meanwhile, the Oklahoma City Thunder, with a roster full of young legs, also did well in the 2010-11 scheduling derby, and will play only 17 sets of back-to-back, third-fewest in the league. Among other notable teams, the Miami Heat and the Boston Celtics both play 19 parings of back-to-backs.

Not everything, though, is a plus for the Lakers in the scheduling department.

Last season they slept at home a lot to start the season, playing 19 games at home out their first 28 contests (and one ?road game? was against the Clippers). The Lakers went 23-5 in that spell to open a four-game lead in the West.

This season, the Lakers? charter pilots will be busy the first couple months, as the team hits the road for 16 of their first 28 games.

Opening night is Tuesday, Oct. 26, at Staples, against the Houston Rockets.

This should be a win for the Lakers. They feel confident about themselves. Just stick with the same game plan that gave them 2 blowout wins. Feed Dwight, keep the defensive pressure and allow Nash to run the offense as opposed to making this another Kobe ISO game. Gasol is also back and refreshed. Should be a fun game. I placed a $150 bet on the Lakers tonight. Hope they win.

Midnightpulp wrongly predicted the Fakeshow would beat the Knicks a few weeks ago and the media would obsess over a "LAKERS ARE BACK" storyline. He should have saved his jizzstorm, this is that game. Fakers by double digits, Kirbs scores under 20 but dishes out 10+ assists. Book it.

I don't really see the Lakers winning this one, tbh.... firstly, it seems like every time they look like they're getting it together (albeit against bad teams) they start playing good teams again and get blown out.... secondly, they're going to have to adjust to yet another change in their lineup with Pau coming back.... I can also easily see Kobe reverting to full-out chuck mode in an attempt to make his stats look better than LeBron's...

Fakes haven't beat a decent team all year. It doesn't take much for a shitty team to beat a great team in the NBA (see Wiz v. Heat, whorenets v. Spurs). The law of averages come home to roost tonight. Heat have been playing poorly (lost last 5 of 10) and are at the end of a 6 game roady on a b2b Take that loan off your bullshit 401k and put it on the Fakes straight up against the Heat. It's easy money.

Same shit every year, tbh..

The reason Miami is playing worse is simply effort level..the entire big 3 hasn't played consistent defense this year, Bosh isn't rebounding, Wade's overall effort has been sporadic..they are conserving energy for the long run, while receiving the best shot from opponents on a nightly basis, tbh..

In the playoffs, Lebron's effort level will go from 80 to 100, Wade/Bosh will go from 70 to 100, tbh..

The only threat in the East is New York, and they won't have enough to win a series..OKC is a virtual lock for winning the West, and Miami owns them, tbh..

Even when he missed that wide open three off the front of the rim with no one anywhere near him? The one that would have cut Miami's lead to three?

You mean the guy who's fucking 15-23? Are you fucking delusional?

Read my post out loud ...or read my other posts inthis thread. Who did I bash LeBron or Kobe? That was a bad shot a Kobe type shot the point is LeBron is so good and does so much no one minds and they shouldnt ...I know Cry is in your name but no need to react like that I called LeBron potential GOAT ...doesn't mean he is flawless

Fuck you mean even? Dude isn't even better than Melo or CP3. Durant is the new Kobe tbh, going to be overrated for a long long time.

Hate if you want when Durant is busting yo ass in the playoffs ... Holla at me ...

Miami won AND covered the -8 that me and my friend have agreed on. I might get an extra +$50 for covering the spread.

Who scored the last basket for the Lakers even LeBron and Wade didn't make every shot in the 4th ...kill him for not playing well in a big game, no doubt. But this was not a bad clutch game but a shitty overall one

Uh, Durant is by far the 2nd best player in the NBA

Third best.... CP3's better....

:lol at the idea of that overrated, one-dimensional, coach-killing chucker Melo being better than KD, though...

Look LeBron just showed he is still by far the best player in the game. Sure Heat looked a bit shaky but at least Wade and late in the game Ray ...provided just enough help for James to dominate.

Username smack from someone called "killakobe". :lmao

:lmao It's a bad shot yet LeBron goes 16-24 for the night. If you're shooting over 60% you're entitled to shoot whenever the fuck you want.

Read my post you just quoted. I agreed with you. I said the shot was bad. It stood out cuz it wad Kobesque not typical of James this year or last. The point I was making no one cares cuz LeBron is so good ...read it again. Go back and read this game thread nothing but love for James but you respond to a mild criticism that was still a compliment?

And I'm delusional ...

But it wasn't a bad shot. That's what I'm telling you. LeBron is damned smart about his shot selection. If he takes it it's because he usually thinks it's the best shot he's going to get that possession. You comment is still off not because I misread it, but because I completely disagree with you that it was a "Kobe" like shot by LeBron. He doesn't hero ball.

Sorry Killakobe, but this is my take on it too. If you're shooting 60% or more, you can take a shot like that. It's not completely different to what Kobe does, but it is a little different. Lebron shot over 60%, so you can take 1, 2 or 3 shots like that over the course of a game if you are shooting that well. When you are shooting poorly and you keep jacking up those shots and missing them, then that is just stupid basketball. Kobe does this too often for my liking.

It's just like the 2004 finals where Shaq was shooting over 60%, yet Kobe kept taking those stupid shots (while shooting a poor percentage) and wouldn't pass Shaq the ball.

Kobe is a flat retard at times. Nothing more to be said. Lebron was OK taking that shot, and it is not a big deal or double standard like you're making it out to be.

When youre the GOAT (by merit and not media fabrication) and are a great, unselfish teammate you can get away with shit like that.

That was my point ...

Of course they do. If they feel in rhythm, feel the flow, want to heat check, etc., they're going to hoist at times.

That's not what Kobe does. Kobe goes out to "get his". Regardless of the prevailing circumstances. So him taking a bad shot is different than someone else tossing one up, because the motive is different. In the short term, there's no difference, but in the long-run... you ever been friends with a guy at the gym that feels the need to shoot 20 shots a game despite the fact that it's a rec league YMCA game? Yeah. It gets really old, really fast, especially when you start losing because of it.

The rest of the Lakers shot just below 50% tonight. And yet Kobe can't let go of the trigger. So the next time someone says "he has no help this season", it's going to be really fucking easy to link to this game.

LOL I agree read the post again. I don't give a shit how you interpreted it. I even said that it was a Kobe shot. It wads right before a timeout so it stood out. Kobe does do that too often LeBron doesn't so I made a comment in a game thread about it ...yall don't like it I don't give a fuck...read this thread I gave LeBron more love than even Harlem does ...

I made a comment on one shot. In that comment I also bashed Kobe. Did you guys miss that part? Or is LeBron so above reproach I can't make that comment? Look like I said LeBron has Goat potential ...but won't stop me from criticizing him check this thread my username has Kobe in it and I blamed Kobe ....
