Well thats on another thread but I'll see how this season plays out. Initially, everyone is under the consensus that everything Kobe's doing on his 17th season is just icing on cake, But, now this comes out which is totally a huge shocker. If they miss the playoffs and the drama continues then I'd definitely say he's out. :lol

The problem is Kobe shooting too many shots. Lol 32 shots. Guy has 3 HOFs on his team and he's still shooting 20-25 shots regularly. Lakers' last two wins Kobe had sub 20 shots. I don't care if he's shooting well. Parker could shoot 20-25 shots at a 50% clip, but it's not the best interest for the team.

When it's not about Kobe, Jam is fine. But he is one of the most unabashed Kobe supporters on the site. He gets legitimately upset at those arguing against Kobe. He also acts very naive to the fact everyone will make fun of LA when they struggle, calling everyone "obsessed" and blatantly ignoring that they are a hot topic all the time.

DMC

Kobe is the poison on that team. The team, without him, would probably be .500 at least.

DPG21920
01-20-2013, 07:48 PM
They aren't better off without Kobe because his talent and capabilities are part of what make their offense so good and their ceiling so scary. However, with the way he's playing (we all knew his most efficient start ever would regress to the mean) he simply won't allow that team to reach their potential.

How could they be much worse than they currently are?

With Pau, Howard, Artest and Nash, they would be a formidable team. Kobe throws a MONKEY wrench into the works because he's not willing to play team ball, despite his token TNT inside pass attempts to Howard.

They should be a formidable team now and tbh, with Kobe shooting flukishly well to start the year, they were able to win some games they otherwise would have lost IMO. Their defense wouldn't be any better without Kobe (at least not noticeably) because there is no one else there better on their bench (which is sad). Their offense might be a little better, but I doubt it and they have been good enough on offense to win games, their defense is the issue.

It shows how fragile Kobe is that he can have one of the most talented rosters in the history of the league and because he can't make it work he asks for more? No other superstar has had as much help on their way to their titles as Kobe. If this was the Smush Parker Lakers, ok, but this is ridiculous and it shows you that even Kobe knows he needs by far the most talented team in the league to even sniff a title.

^ :lol Yup. Even when LA struggles they still have some of the most luck in the league. This look as if the 8th seed in the West this year will have a very, very low win total where the past couple years the win% was higher.

Been saying the truth bout how overrated that clown is, and being labeled as a hater. But it's painfully apparent throughout his career that he is an inefficient chiclet who benefited from being on a team in a huge market and consistently having the most dominant frontline.

The shaq lakers would have won 3 championships with Tmac, carter or iverson, Lebron and wade would have won easily with the late 10 lakers roster in place of Kobe, but no one in their right minds will put any of those players, outside of Lebron, in the top 10.

Kobe 3-13 3PTFG

Takes more shots then the entire talented frontcourt combined (Artest, Gasol, Howard combined 14-27)
Plays a whopping 43 minutes against the 15-26 Raptors and still cant get the W.

He is such a piece of shit. And he throws his team under the bus? I'm surprised Artest hasn't beaten the shit out of Kobe and literally thrown him under a bus.
Complain about needing a better team when you have Dwight, Paul, Artest and Nash in your starting lineup? Just retire you whinging cry baby. What more do you need? LeBron or Durant as your starting SF? What a piece of shit.

Its a shame the Western Conference is so even after the elite teams.

Lakers are about 5 games back from being last in the conference but are only about 3 wins away from the guys going for the last playoff positions. Doesnt help the 8th placed Houston has lost 7 straight and 9th placed portland has lost 5 straight. I wish there was more seperation between the Lakers and those guys.

That is not the "THE PROBLEM" that is one of many ... too many turnovers, leading to transition buckets, lack of depth, a reliable bench scorer, poor 3 point shooting and FT shooting, lack of athleticism and poor defensive rotations. But I agree he is shooting too much ... but Lakers are awful. Him shooting less would only help the transition part and maybe the 3 point shooting.

uh, that three bad shooting days against teams they should wax ....... I know you love Kobe Bryant to death and is probably one of the few people who thinks he's better than Jordan (that debate was now and forever is terminated) but just as long as this is his team and he gets to do whatever he wants in his final years, won't be no parade coming the Lakers' way. That's fact. Number don't lie.

When he shoots less, they win.
When he shoots more, they lose.

For someone who's supposed to be so skilled, he's really stupid. He has one of the best mid range games in the league, yet, he's 0-6 from three range. That's the difference between he and Mike. Mike knew his 3 game was garbage. That's why he didn't shoot many and killed fools on the box? Bryant? Struggles the last two games and then goes out and shoots 0-6 from three. Now, you can take Kobe's dick from ya ass and put it in ya mouth. That might keep ya ass quiet for a while.
