According to ESPN, the deal is done. The Seattle group would own 65% (for $525 mil) of the team and it looks like the Maloofs will retain ownership on part of the remaining 35%.

I think the 100% was valued at 525M, and the new owners are going to pay 65% of that for their stake.

There's still a lot of time to go before the deal is approved by the NBA Board of Governors. Sacramento investors could put together a better offer between now and April.

I mean, the original Sonics won a title, and that didn't prevent Clay Bennett from taking the team out of there.

relocation ain't gonna happen anytime soon though. they need to build a real NBA caliber gym before all and its gonna take at least one year or two
