The teams they have currently above them will deflate eventually (they already doing it).
And Lakers have some awesome players like Kobe, Nash, Howard and Gasol. Some great roleplayers and a great and fun coach.
Plus, the NBA won't let it happen. And let's be honest, we all want the Lakers as high as possible, we all are secret Lakers fans.
For the good of the game. Go Lakers.

I think Spurs fans should be praying for the Lakers to make the playoffs as the 8th seed and give the Thunder a bigger fight than Minnes:lolta or P:lolrtland

They won their NBA Finals today, tbh, good for them... :lol
Win win situation, the Lakers make it as the 8th seed and get butt fucked 4-0, Lakers miss the playoffs and hilarity ensues.

Teams don't play the name "Lakers", they play the team, and no way the Lakers right now are better than either of those teams.

You can't tell me you'd want to see Kobe Bryant, Dwight Howard and Steve Nash all healthy in a playoff series. No matter how bad the coaching and depth is.

It doesn't matter who I want to see. They are what their record says they are.

You're right. Their record says all that is needed to be said.

lakers will be bailed out by the league for market reasons i have absolute no doubt about it, even though they're behind them mavs at the moment. the playoffs can't deny the team that has 2 all-star starters imho

Trading Howard is just what the Lakers need. The guy simply refuses to pass it more to Kobe.
