LAJV's fortune was set in stone when they hired Pringles tbh.

Yes, because Pau's the problem.... not the ballhogging snitch chucker.... :lol

So the guy who gets the ball least on offense is the problem. :lol Ok.

Can Pau request a trade? I think he needs to.

Just one less player for Kobe to worry about. He's been bitching about Pau for a while now.

It kind of makes sense to me. The Lakers do need some firepower off the bench. Pau could possibly provide some of that.

Fuck Bill Simmons. He regularly gave reach-a-rounds to Nash/D'antoni's system from 2005-2007 and criticized the Suns for firing him. This is quite the flip flop.

Simmons is also ignoring the fact that most Laker fans have been blaming Pau for their struggles more than any other culprit, including D'Antoni..

If the Lakers don't make the playoffs, I don't see any scenario where D'antoni survives. It might mean Buss is paying 3 different coaches at once, but a team as stacked as the Lakers missing the playoffs would be an unprecedented type of disappointment.

wait a minute wasn't Kobe the one who said that he was tired, so why is Gasol going to the bench?

Which teams could use Pau, tbh?..there aren't many teams that are a Gasol away from contending, especially with that contract..

Chicago?..a 1st round pick and Boozer?..Noah, Gibson and the Bulls system could mask Gasol's defensive issues, but you would still have the same problem of Gasol playing at the 4..

Boozer would fit better on LA, but his contract is painful and he's a playoff choker..

Denver?..Iggy would fit in well with LA, Nuggets need to trade one of their wings..Gasol would add a different dimension to Denver's offense, although their defense would go from bad to atrocious..

Teams like Houston and Minnesota could make a move, but it would be foolish on their parts..

someone needs to sit on the bench more for the team's good but it's definitely not pau imho

As an expert on stacked teams, let me just say the Lakers are unstacked as FUCK.

Gasol could probably work on the spurs
he would play with better teammates who wont throw him under the bus and he would fit in with the spurs euro system
and its not like SA will attract anyone in free agency like spurfan believes
only chance SA has of landing a free agent is by massively overpaying for a mid tier player like smith or gay

Duncan/Gasol/Splitter/Diaw is an elite frontcourt
best in the league tbh
Splitter goes back to being the Hakeem of the bench and gasol takes over what splitter did in the starting lineup
Deal them Jack/Bonner/neal

Antoni took over a .500 team as stacked as this squad and has gone 13-20. He's never going to work in the NBA again at this rate.

Not really since Pau isnt really someone people would consider an explosive scorer. Obviously would never happen but letting Nash run the show with the starting unit and having Kome come off the bench and chuck at will would be worth a shot...let him be an explosive, inefficient chucker like Crawford or JR Smith.

Good for him tbh, glad hes showing displeasure despite being such a quiet and passive guy. Kome was being ousted in the 1st round or not making the playoffs altogether before MVPau came along and now they just wanna throw him to the curb. Its fucked up.

Gasol is worth about a 10 cents on the dollar right now tbh
Dantoni loves his floor spacers
he gets a career 42% 3 point shooter in neal
bonner (channing frye replacement) currently leading the nba in 3 point percentage
and jackson as added depth and to match salaries

and not only do they get depth and 3 point shooting
all 3 of those players are expirers
bonner can be bought out next season i believe for about 1 mil
Lakers have made it known they dont want any long term contracts to be players in the 2014 free agency

Pau`s contract is bigger than Z-Bo annualy, and Memphis is seaking talent/picks for cap relief.

D'Antoni is one of the few men in the world who somehow defy professional physics and fails UP. He went from suns, to Knicks, to LA. His next stop is probably OKC/LAC, whichever is bounced in second round.

I just saw ESPN's highlights, they showed a bunch of Pau's missed shots and I thought: "well he had an awful game" Then I lokk the box score and saw that he shot 6 from 14 for 15 pts and 12 rbds. From Kobe they only showed and "and 1" and I thought: "Kobe had a good game" and then I saw he was 7 from 22 for 16 pts. Then I thought: "Well, that's not fair" :(

The way he had the Knicks playing below .500 ball last year should have been his last straw in the NBA.
