I'll be at the one in Tyler. Tickets go on sale this Saturday and I'm going to go ahead and pick some up because its not a very big venue and it will sell out fast.

Trill Clinton

where are the tickets being sold?

oh crap

Touring w Dmx? :lol but yeah, I might have to check that Austin show out.

The Tyler show is selling them at the venue. It's just a couple miles from my house so I'm just going to ride by and pick them up. I saw a couple of sites online selling them but you might be able to get them cheaper at House of Blues ahead of time. I'd just give them a call and see.

Not understanding the connection here. Bone Thugs was a whole new sound that can't be compared with the 80s.

Shit was soft. If I want to hear someone singing I'll listen to someone with a voice for it. They were the trailblazers for soft garbage like 50 Cent and Nelly. Sad too, since they were talented when they actually rapped pre Eternal.

This I'm 100% in agreement with you on. Bone-thugs-n-Harmony is one of the most overrated hip hop groups ever (that's if you consider their singing hip hop since I sure as hell don't).

Must be a generational thing. Bone specialized in unintentional comedy imo, some of their songs were ok but they were gimmicky to me:

Nah Bone Thugs don't need the money. The platinum niggas are pretty set. Creepnonahcomeup and Eternal are two of the greatest albums ever made and it's not a "imo" statement either.

I will go as far as to say that after Art Of War they changed ya but they still left a legacy.

Creepin is a good album since they rapped, but Eternal was wack aside from a couple of songs. I should have never bought that tape when I heard those faggots singing on First of the Month.

They are harmonizing.

Thugs singing in harmony because they all went through the same black plight together and experienced the hardships that plagues the black youth.

I made that last part up.

baseline bum
01-25-2013, 01:49 PM
But they're not singing in harmony; their singing voices are awful. I mean, no one would ask Marvin Gaye to rap Straight Outta Compton, so what the fuck do rappers think they should sing for?

Creepn
01-25-2013, 01:58 PM
Well there's your problem. You trying to make them out to be Boyz 2 Men. Or in your case Thugz 2 Men. I think the First of the Month chorus sounds just fine.

Bone Thugs created their own style of rap and to this day, 20 years after they came out, there's still rappers biting that style.

Can't hate BTNH, when they did the collabo with Biggie and he rapped Bone Thug style instead of his usual slower pace, it sounds dope as fuck.

Bone Thugs N Harmony are LEGENDS in the rap game, period. And personally knowing them and the business relationship I have had with them for many years in bringing them to San Antonio, Austin, and Bizzy being featured on one of our artists singles etc, they are also straight up real as shyt. Everything they do is full of heart. They also perform way passed the time they are contracted for. Because they love it, and they love their fans. They are one of the rare rap groups/rappers that do very well in San Antonio, and bring the crunkest of crowds that rap/sing every fucking word with them on every fucking song. They bring bigger crowds than many rappers here. And a lot of it is for their old stuff. Hell the first time I brought them, 2007, we sold out over 15,000 people.

That's legendary.
