From Spurs Nation
Starting big Tim Duncan and head coach Gregg Popovich did not travel with the team and will miss the Spurs’ game at Dallas on Friday, the team announced Thursday.
Popovich notified the Spurs roughly two hours before the Hornets game that he was too ill to coach. He ceded head coaching duties to No. 1 assistant Mike Budenholzer, who guided the Spurs to a 106-102 victory.

I hope Pop is alright and just a flu. I swear ST makes me more paranoid than normal, every minor thing is magnified.

CIA Pop gave himself the flu, tbh, just to see how the team does.

Man, no joke about that! I had a paranoia filter installed in my brain recently though (an absolute must when your whole family watches Fox News etc), so it doesn't really bother me. It's just that only about 10% of ST content actually makes it through. This site is a bit of a ghost town since the surgery.

Hopefully, he doesn't have a serious illness. It's pretty strange to have your head coach miss multiple games with an illness. Hell, it's strange for a coach to miss any games with anything.

:pop:"shit, ST is about to implode over my health...except silverblack mystix, he's probably spraying Easy Cheese all over his chest right now."
if Pop has something serious then I hope he takes time away to recover and not worry about this shit. Maybe he needs to change his lifestyle. The team has more than enough experience to carry the load.

Anyone think they're rushing Manu back way too soon. It's barely been 10 days and with his injury record we're just waiting for another one. I know he played alright but I don't know if he's really ready to go again.

"Starting, big, Tim Duncan and head master Greggory Popovich didn't take the ardous journey to the land of Dallas with their trusted associates and will miss for the Dallas basketbowl game on on Friday, ." Said a person or site who may or may not be named.

The Express News doesn't care about "credit", they care about not having articles reposted in full on a different site. So if you're going to post articles, provide a snip-it and a hyperlink.

As for Duncan being out, I'm looking forward to Splitter getting more good PT as "the guy" and Duncan resting. Anyone know if Baynes traveled with the team and will be suited up?

It did with Splitter, though it took almost three years for it to happen. Maybe Baynes just needs a couple years to ripen on the bench. That seems to really help a guy's basketball ability.

I've never been told not to repost articles before... I have no idea where this coming from. People are acting like I am intentional breaking the rules. I didn't realize that it was a problem, will change the way I post next time. You can tell by my post count that I've clearly not been doing this longer than you of most of the others . Again my bad.

Pop is back and seems fine. He mentioned that Duncan is still "questionable" for tomorrow's game and that Duncan will be reevaluated tomorrow. Duncan is participating in practice, but Pop doesn't feel like Duncan is where he needs to be.

I'm fine with Duncan sitting tomorrow. We're past the point where we can consider it a "minor" issue and should just rest him. What's the point of playing him against the Bobcats and Wizards? I'd rather he just get healthy as possible and be ready for the RRT.
