For the rasslin' fans...
Did ya know when he first got in the business he came in as a tagteam partner of Sting? Hell if I can remember what they called themselves? I'm thinking...Starship... or something funky like that. I'm thinking he was called Rock and Sting was called Flash, could be wrong.
Sting the one mega star who never rassled in the WWF/WWE. Before that the WWWF, but Sting wasn't around back then.
My nigga Warrior.
He was my favorite wrestler back in the day.

The guy couldn't rassle a lick. Yep, just like Hulk Hogan. The one rassler who made it big simply on his look. As we saw in the video, no mic skills either. Which is 70% of it.

Would ya believe old Wahoo played for the New York Jets prior to his rassling days? He had...WAHOO...written on the back of his jersey.
Wahoo the best of the indian rasslers.
Then came Chief Jay Strongbow, Don Eagle and Chief Big Heart.

No I do not.
Ever thought about widening those horizons a bit? You appear very limited. You can't talk country, blues, rasslin', football, track, sci fi, boxing. What does interest you?

Anything that's not boring.
You really do need to get out more if you see any of those as boring. Boring is ..still..talking about girls. Your favorite...whatever...since nobody really cares.
Check out the George Foreman vs Ron Lyle fight on youtube.
Check out Barry Sanders/Gale Sayers highlights on youtube.
This is boring?

Muir HS was the team that won it, they had the best HS 400m guy in the nation in Obea Moore, knowing that is what all the excitement was about.
Dude, track sucks. So does blues.
Not particularly into boxing either so yes those subject do bore me.

You do know that millions and millions of people totally disagree with you...right? Tell the Rolling Stones that the blues sucks since they got that name from an old Muddy Waters song. Tell Elvis the blues sucks since he started out covering old blues tunes. Tell ...The House of Blues...it sucks. Tell Blues Revue Magazine nobody cares, hahahaha!!!!!! Tell those who made the movie.."Black Snake Moan"...the blues sucks. Tell those who made the movie.."Crossroads"..that the blues sucks. Tell that to Stevie Ray Vaughn.
Tell Track & Field News Magazine that been around since 1948 nobody cares, it sucks.
Dude, I'll try again, what does interest you? Cool the bullshit, be specific.
To all does that like blues and track and field;
your genre and sport sucks respectively.
Lots of things interest me. I have an open mind about everything really.
Just not track and field, blues, jazz, boxing, soccer among other few things.

I went to high school with Obea. All the excitement led to nothing as he repeatedly fell short of expectations once he got out of high school and when he couldn't put together the SAT or ACT scores needed to run for USC.

He was going to enroll at Pasadena City College, then just vanished. He finally shows up at Life College, I think that's in Tennesee, maybe not. He was back to running but it just wasn't there. There was also word he was going to attend Morehouse in Georgia, never happened.
So you went to Muir, great track school. You also went to school with Sultan McCullough, who did make it to USC. Muir known for great relay teams.

Ya gotta stop that.
Talk to me about all those great Muir sprinters like Hal Busby and the great Mel Clipper, see just because you went there doesn't mean you know the track history. You went there for 4 years, I bet you know nothing about the before or after....right?
Sultan had a brother, who was he?

It also doesn't mean I give half a fuck about the track history. I don't have to know the personal histories of every single track athlete that ever went to Muir to know that it was known for having a great track program. You see, there are these things, most schools have them, called trophy cases...
But, please, tell me again how I'm being the arrogant asshole while you educate me about the high school I went to and the athlete I knew personally.

Ok then tell me what all did Obea win at the State meets? What other events did he run besides the 400m? Remember you knew him personally.
And yes I could educate you on the high school you went to.
This....I know, I went there....is beyond lame.

You're asking me to validate claims I never made.
Memorizing Obea's track record, or that of the entire Muir track program, wasn't important to me when I went there and it damn sure isn't important to me 16+ years after I graduated. I'll gladly admit I don't know the answers to your questions. I'll further admit that when you eventually post them (because that's what you really want to do), I'm not going to read it. But, again, I never claimed to know any of that stuff.
I do not, however, need you to tell me that Obea used to run fast or that Muir has had a lot of track success.
LOL vintage Avante.
Why do you lose your shit when people dont want to get into a discussion about track and field and whatnot? Cool it.

It works like this.
See all those threads down there and on the back pages? We all have choices on which threads we enter, right? I couldn't care less about 90% of the threads here, the 10% I do care about I enter and am prepared to talk about things, if I wasn't I wouldn't be there. Why enter my threads knowing your interests aren't mine? Does that make any sense to you?
I don't give fuck about your diet, favorite anything. So I don't post threads about that stuff. Totally bored with talking..."would you do her"..."tits or ass?" Yep, outgrew it.
So you enter threads of mine to do what? I expect those who do enter know the topic. Don't come into my thread telling me I need to do anything, it's you/others who need to pick and choose better.

It's more the combination of you knowing all about central Cali, New Orleans and now Muir because you lived there/went there when in reality you don't know all about them. You don't know 1% of those living in central Cali, yet you can tell all about us, hahahaha!!!!!!!! You know nothing about the early 1900's Storyville, the one Armstrong was talking about. You tell me...I know, I went there...when in reality no you don't know. I know a ton of fellow central Cali-ites that would chew you up and spit you out when it comes to smarts, so cool the bullshit ok? This..."I'm so above you stupid centra....."is beyond stupid since you don't know any of us. Here I sit a guy who can totally school you on a ton of topics, so cool your shit.

Didn't you just entered my latest thread and tried to derailed it the other day? How's that any different from what you're saying?
You're a borderline case amigo.

I made one comment on the rarity of the occasion, that's hardly trying to derail anything. If you posted like a normal poster instead of...."me, actually post a thread, you serious?"....I'd only be there if your topic interested me. Come on man, when a guy posts a thread semi annually......hahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!
I sure in the hell don't enter threads just to play the pest like so many here do. I'm sure you've noticed that.
You work so damn hard to discredit me and...borderline amigo...when you know I'm a pretty smart guy who knows a lot of stuff, I'm guessing that bugs you for some unknown reason.
Oh you posted more than once, amigo.
Just admit it. You're so full of shit you cant keep track of what you say here most of the time.

Still struggling with your comprehension skills I see. I didn't say I just posted once I said I made a comment about the rariity of the event, you really think I care about any thread enought to.....boy I better derail this....hahahaha!!!!!!!!! I was actually stunned to see you do something/anything but what you are doing right now, that same old.."I gotta bug him".....don't you get tired of that, you haven't figured out by now it makes no impact at all on me because of my disrespect for your opinion? You are here for reason only....bug.....right?
No, you said you make one comment, not a comment.
Theres a difference.
And I'm not bugging you at all.

The whole thing was pretty much..."wow look at the boy, I knew he could do it"....right? That's trying to derail a thread, hell if it is. Then again, how uncool is it to enter a thread and totally ignore the topic like you always do?

Dude, it's all for fun, you know it and I know it. You've said so yourself more than once. Just have fun with it, I do. I pity those who really do take this stuff all that seriously. I get a kick out of this, it's funny.

But I never once claimed to know everything about any of those places or any of those people. The comments that got you all riled up were all in response to you arrogantly sharing with me the most basic of information. Merely living in New Orleans is, yes, enough to provide one with the basic information that Storyville was the red light district and that Louis Armstrong was one of many important musicians who got his start there. Spending four years at a high school is, yes, plenty of time to learn/know that school has a good track program. Regularly spending time visiting/living in the area for 30+ years provides one with more than enough information to know that Central California is a shithole.
Furthermore, I never once claimed to be above Central California or all of the people who live there. In case you missed it while reading my posts, I said very clearly that I have family there and that I lived there myself for ten years. The culture there is a bit conservative and small town-ish for my tastes, and is far from cutting edge, but as mentioned in previous threads my primary objection to the area is that it's wall-to-wall boring and that, with VERY few exceptions, it's geographically hideous.
Finally, I have never once denied or disputed the fact you know a lot of things that I don't about your pet subjects. I maintain that your claims of being a historian are dubious, and I haven't been particularly bowled over by your level of intelligence, but you clearly care very much about blues/track and have put a lot of effort into memorizing a ton of facts. So, yes, if rattling off a bunch of statistics is how you define "schooling" me, you likely could. Congratulations. You can tell me stuff I won't pay attention to about things I don't give a shit about. That is not, however, the same as being smarter than me.
