tbh everything you said was good, but especially this. It's good to expose a child to adversity at some point. If you baby him, keep him in his own sacred bubble, he might be fine through high school, or even college for that matter, but as soon as he/she hits a roadblock it's all downhill from there. Children that have to grow up through adversity are more likely to succeed because they know how to handle life when it gets rough whereas the sheltered students, who only know 4.0s, will shit their pants as soon as they don't get their way.
