I wouldn't say that. There were times they just lost because of injuries to Nash, Gasol and Dwight. But Kobe sure was responsible for the disharmony in the locker room, there's no denying that.

only the media makes certain wins out to be "turning points" in the season.

it's retarded

2 solid games doesn't erase 40+ games of inconsistent play with below average defense and cohesion issues.

Lakers will either miss the playoffs or stumble in as the 8th seed and lose to the Spurs.

StrengthAndHonor
01-27-2013, 06:17 PM
Keys to the game

Lakers

Pound the ball inside. Involve Dwight early to get his defensive juices up.

Allow Kobe to play facilitator, with Nash playing spot up shooter

Slow the pace. They're not winning the game playing OKC's strength which is speed.

Kobe must attack the basket and feed Dwight. This is the only way they'll score inside the paint. Posting Dwight will most certainly cause a lot of turnovers.

Kobe must not take more than 15 shots in this game. If they have to lose with no one else scoring, so be it.

I was pretty accurate tbh. Except Kobe didnt feed Dwight much in return Jamison, Clark and Gasol benefited from Kobe's drive and dish.

They have another game against the Pelicans at Staples and then they hit the road and play some very winnable games... IMO, to really say they turned a corner, they need to win those...

Make no mistake. This is temporary. If people really believes Kobe averaging less than 20 points a game while dishing out 14 assists is going to be a staple, they're delusional. :lol

Agree. This will last until the Lakers have 2 nights in a row of sub 40% shooting, then Kobe will decide that it's up to him to score 35 a game on 32 shots, and things will drop right back down the rabbit hole.

Not really, in previous seasons a playoff spot was a lock. This time he has to choose between a 30 PPG season or a run for the playoffs.

lol pimping earl clark now ... :lol ... laker fans are adorable ...
Big reason they pulled this off is that Dwight had 5 fouls so it was a good "excuse" to prevent him from FT bricking and killing this win ...
unfortunately D12 is going to be finishing games and not being able to make FT's in the clutch is going to haunt this team ...
