haha no more stat padding I guess but what team from the East will take advantage Philly , Toronto or Detriot most likely the C's will make the playoffs but I could see the Pistons in the playoffs they have been great ever since that 0-8 start .

Ainge would be stupid not to blow this team up now. He now has a green light to pretty much trade everyone since holding on to that 8th spot is pointless.

Pierce, Terry, KG, Sullinger, Bradley, Green. Everyone needs to go.

As if Miami's trip to the Finals couldn't get any easier. The Celtics were the one competent playoff team that could hypothetically give them a series. Not anymore, tbh.

The Knicks came back down to earth after JR Smith stopped shooting a flukeish 60% or whatever. The Pacers offense sucks. Brooklyn sucks. Thibodeau's coaching style only maximizes regular season wins.

The East this year is right there with the 2002 East as being the worst conference ever, IMO. That gives the Heat a huge advantage, unfortch.

from what I heard, he was all alone on a fast break but flung himself onto the floor when he was going for a layup. since none of his teammates were trailing and he couldn't pass for an assist, he didn't know what to do.

Meh, no point in that. They just signed Green, and management is in love with him for some reason. If we get rid of those four players, we won't have any future whatsoever besides Rondo. Pierce comes off the books this year; we should be able to resign him for slightly less than his current contract.

it's going to be a fire sale tbh. Garnett's going back to Minny, Pierce will have some mysterious surgery and just retire, and everyone else will be put on notice. Ainge is gonna rebuild around the dream that is post surgery Rondo and Jeff Gr:lolen.

Assuming the Celtics want to dump Terry

Garnett + Terry for Jackson, Bonner, Green, Mills/Joseph + picks.

Celtics dump two big contracts, get a young capable shooting guard on a good contract and a decent backup big.

I'm sure someone else could put together a better package though.

The Celts would be dealing from a position of weakness, which would hurt their bargaining power. And I'm not sure how you can say that Jet and Green are horrible contracts they need to get rid of, while saying Ainge is great at assessing talent

Evaluating young talents is one thing. Offering a contract sheet is another.

Richie

Green is only 26, no reason to trade him if the Celtics go in to rebuilding. They have veteran assets to trade for picks and young talent for the future.

Just like late 80s Jordan tbh.

They're going with a Bradley/Lee/Pierce/Sullinger/Garnett lineup, tbh. IMO that puts more pressure on Pierce to make plays and he's playing gassed (hence the two crucial turnovers late against the Knicks).

Hopefully Jeff Green can spell Pierce occasionally. I'd be surprised if Lee started over JET, Lee has been just as inconsistent this year. And it'd be nice if Bass didn't let Sullingers production throw off his.
