Rondo's injury changes everything. Where Boston was a possible playoff threat, now that is becoming doubtful. Do they blow it up now or go for a playoff run? Discuss.

Blow it up. Were barely gonna make the playoffs with Rondo, they'll just spiral down to shit now. A rebuild should be in order.

Celtics need to get more picks or something in that deal, they would get totally shitted on there.

What a bunch of wicked retarded fucksticks we got here. Lookit, the Mighty Boston Celtics aren't fahkin tanking. We lost Rondo but we still got The Truth and KG. Talent doesn't mean as much as heart and desire, and that's always been the Celtic Way. You fucksticks better get used to seeing us win, cuz we're about to drop bombs on the league like Welker drops clutch passes!

Disagree. I think this is fare trade. KG isnt worth anything more than Bledsoe + 1st rounder. They could take Odom`s expiring and ship it to a team looking for cap relief.

Or tank, by sending KG and PP for season ending "knee tendenisis". They are old enough. Medical staff could easilly find something.

I think Boston's FO is going to wait and see what happens without Rondo.
All teams have these kind of problems every, lets say 10-15 years.
No one can answer the question: When does a teams start to rebuild?
At the end teams have to choose, either they trade players like Pierce and get younger players or picks, or they dont trade and continue to play, probably with no chance of winning a lot of games.
Its a shame what happend to Rondo.

Tough to accept a rebuild for franchises like Celts, Lakers but ...

This last rebuild led to the KG era. Best thing for both is a rebuild but neither will go that route ...

Just realized that Boston is going to rebuild after signing 4 FA to long term deal - Jet, KG, Lee and Green and having 2 1st round picks. :lmao

they held miami to double overtime the other night and eventually won the game w/o that stat padding nigga. they're still making the playoffs but this team would have no chance to upset NY or miami even with a healthy chris paul running the backcourt for them tbh.
