Out of all the people with a microphone or a spot on a national newspaper. Who closest resembles you. If you want to pick someone who agrees more adamantly with your bigger concerns; or someone who you agree more overall with. Present day, or atleast had a national voice within the last ten years.
Exclude: Anyone who has run or had an elected position.

I really like Glenn Greenwald (http://www.guardian.co.uk/profile/glenn-greenwald). I find myself agreeing with a lot of what he writes.

Back in 05 it was Bill Kristol. Now it's usually G. Will. Then again I don't really read as much op-eds as I used to.
I still like Brett Humes when he's on.

I liked T. Russert. He was the only guy to ask the tough questions and then keep hounding. He was excellent at his job.

No, it makes Sullivan a tard
I honestly do like Brooks. He always seems rational to me, even when I disagree with him. I also like both Taibbi brothers (I assume they are brothers). I like some others but I can't remember their names right now...like the guy who writes for the WSJ but appears on the Washington Week show on friday nights often. There are a couple of people on that show that I think are reasonable but since I only see the show on replay I always fast forward past the introductions.
And I rather like Joe Scarborough.

Seeing how much you admire people who predicted Romney would win, I'm also reassured by how much I disagree with you on.

Yeah, he sometimes goes off on a tangent, and stays on that tangent way too long, but at least he is honest with his readers, and I haven't seen him flipflop without an explanation.

This is patently untrue.
Nate Silver also predicted a Seahawks-Patriots Superbowl, btw, so I guess he's better with binary outcomes.

Yeah Scarborough does a good job of picking his battles with all the liberals. I enjoy watching him in the morning.

Yeah, using stats to predict the NFL playoffs (one of the most unpredictable things in sports) is pretty dumb. I know that you only post in the NFL forum when the Jets are good, but I've said as much in there.
How did we go from Cornel West to Nate Silver?

Sully flip flopped on Iraq, big time.
not sure his excuses for it went over too well with the antiwar left he characterized as decadent and a fifth column for terrorism in 2003.
