View Full Version : What do you expect from Manu next year?

Does Manu continue to play the way he did in the playoffs, or does he play more like he did during the regular season?

Does he average the 20+ pts a game he was dropping in the playoffs, or the 15 he averaged during the season?

Will more and more of the offense start with Manu as opposed to Timmy?

Does he solidify his spot as one of the games best players, or will he be a fringe all star player again next year?

I think Manu will avg 2 or 3 more ppg next year during the season and then go off during the playoffs ...... you got to remember that pop limited his minutes during the season, and he also was out bc of injuries for a few games...also cutting down on his minutes.

It would be great if he just averages the same in regular season and then turns it up once again the postseason. Manu is a winner. So as long as he doesn't tire himself out in the regular season and can have a spectacular playoffs again, that would be great.

Does he get the same limited minutes now that he isn't playing with the National Team this summer?

I expect to see Manu making better decisions with the ball and continue to get better chemistry with Timmy and Tony.
Tony and Manu have already shown they can read each others moves and it will only get better.

Hoping for 19/5.5/4.5.

It will depend on his minutes. If resting this summer allows him to average 33 minutes, he should easily achieve my prediction.

But I agree with Kori. If he can put up the same numbers he did last season and turn it up acouple of notches in the playoffs, all will be well.

they dont have to change the offense for manu to do what he does well... but i would expect him to fully take over as the #2 scorer on the team next season... and to get more plays called for him as well. 20+ isnt far fetched, even with him getting the same amount of mins.

Question:

Does Manu's number improve drasticly with Scola (if he gets the minutes) on the team? You'd think if Manu and Scola were on the court at the same time, their play would be really fluid. Running the fast break or playing pick and roll.

I expect his minutes and his averages to go up in tandem. I hope he puts on more muscle for his sake.

I expect him to steal the opening tip and score at least 15 times.

I think he will average more points, but as Kori already said, what's more important is that he plays really well in the postseason.

I think we'll see more of the offense run through Manu next year, and a little less through Tim. I figure Manu to pull a little over 20 points a game. Hopefully his assists will be up near 5 as more teams key on him and he finds the open man.

Of course, if his numbers are lower because Pop keeps his minutes lighter to keep from wearing him out, it wouldn't worry me much.

What do you expect from Manu next year?

A bunch of turnovers. Sitting out back to back games. Passing the ball to fans in the stands.

The way Manu plays I'm surprised he doesn't get injured more or more severely. This might be the downfall of San Antonio if Manu goes down.

I think he will avg. four more points per game. As long he does that and as long as he sticks with his wife and doesn't date so hollywood bimbo next year I will be immensely happy.
