Should be a fun game. Super defensive Grizz to score 60 pts trying to limit acne Durant and co < 60 pts. Good luck with that.

The Grizz look absolutely horrible on offence.
LOL this team sucks even more without Gay.
LOL this team sucks even more without Gay.
Shouldn't really be a surprise.
TBH, Memphis was finally learning how to play with Gay, ZBo, and Gasol in the lineup. Good move money wise, but now are really challenged for offensive weapons, and they are counting on Randolph and Marc to repeat their performance from 2011. Frankly, I don't know if they have that in them.
On the plus side, if this is any indication, Spurs have the Southwest division locked up.

The idea this team can be better without Gay shouldn't be dismissed outright... after all, it was this same team without Gay that made it's deepest run in the playoffs, and you can easily pin the series loss to the Clippers last season on Gay's boneheaded plays...

My only worry is if they tank to be 7th/8th since the Spurs are a lock for a top 3 seed (and they have a pretty cushy schedule post RRT).

You know who helped their playoff run? Shane Battier, tbh.
Hell I'd take GSW over them in 5 or 6.
A healthy Golden State should be able to handle them... Memphis is also mediocre at 3 point defense, so Curry and Thompson should burn them from beyond the arc.

So will Charles Barkley detach his mouth from Memphis' dick now? :lol
Damn son, seems only Jerryd Bayless showed up on the offensive end so far. ZBo is what, 0-9?
That's what I'm talking about. Randolph has been a shell of his former self ever since he came back from that injury.
If Randolph comes in and drains those mid-range jumpers (and threes) like he did against the Spurs two years ago, they can fucking have it.
Wow. Grizzlies +15 shots, down 24 points. :wow
LOL Chuck living and dying by his Memphis are for real pick. :lol

01-31-2013, 09:26 PM
You really weren't kidding....
They are going to struggle offensively big time, it was already an issue before the trade it's getting worst since then. Their spacing is gonna suck. Like nono said they need time to welcome the newcomers but saying they are better off gay is wrong.
seriously though after scoring 34 pts in the first I fully expect they overachieve and score between 70 and 75.

It's not just that the Grizz lost Gay. They were actually better with him last time when he was out with an injury. It's that their ballers can't ball anymore. Z-Bo hasn't been the same since injury. Surprise poor man's Z-Bo in Arthur also hasn't been the same since injury. Arthur pre-injury was actually pretty damn solid. And the rest of their bench -- Battier, Vasquez, Speights -- are gone. Now when Conley goes out, Bayless (lol) runs the offense.
They're definitely not scary anymore.
