So Novak is already in the 3-point contest, and Wade wants J.R. Smith in the dunk contest. Knicks should have a busy All-Star Weekend.

If your one trick is jumping very very far you have a good chance at winning a dunk contest

I've literally never heard of this guy until now, tbh... the Dunk Contest has fallen off, the year with Blake, JaVale, Ibaka, and DeRozan was the last great one, imho...

Sure, a FT-line dunk or two will get him into the finals, but don't those talking heads like to preach creativity?

Actually, you're right. White will win the contest with FT-line dunks alone. He just wouldn't get invited back unless he releases some video of him doing other crazy dunks.

Hell Yes!!!

Kenny Smith's famous "It's Over!"

1st round: James White FT Line Tomahawk Dunk = 10/10

2nd round: James White FT Line Two Handed double clutch Dunk = 10/10

Final round: James White FT Line between the legs dunk = 10/10

Winner James White

Game over. As long as he doesn't miss his dunks, he's got it in the bag.

Youtube his videos... he's a sick dunker. Been watching him since he was in the dunk contest at the McDonald's All-American game.

I still chuckle at the fact that it was Fabricio Oberto who gave White his first significant alley-oop with the Spurs... One of just a few dunks that he managed to score in the spot minutes he got during the Spurs' last championship season...

Good thing about his Ft line dunks, the ball doesn't leave his hand, so if he has his legs shouldn't take more than 2 attempts. Won't see any 4-5 attempt alley oop tries, etc

Damn, that windmill from a step behind the FT line was sick. I wonder if he can still do that kind of stuff though at age 31. In his athletic prime White's dunking ability just shit all over Jordan, Carter, and Nique.

30 years old. Only 363 minutes played in the NBA

He's not a NBA player tbh. He shouldn't win the NBA slam dunk contest but the contest is garbage now

some of you guys been slacking on this dude's history. in his day, would probably give VC a run for his dunking money imo.

i think i seen the dude pull a double windmill in some random dunk compilation video i seen on youtube

superstars don't give a fuck about this contests so it's now only left to those average-mediocre players to make a name for themselves, DH was the last superstar to win this contest imho

White might have been able to win the Dunk Contest ten years ago, but the whole thing is just a crock now. The winner will probably be the guy who can Dougie while dunking.

I'm sorry Dougie ≠ a variety of FT Line Dunks

Disappointing night for James White, but he did set a season-high by scoring 2 points.

IMO he got robbed after the 1st dunk. then 2nd dunk he got all flustered.

but true, 5 years ago he could have won this easily. age just takes a toll on folks
